"You have a twisted sense of humour." Jeremy chuckled.
"I’ve been told as such."
"Where did you even find that?"
"You have a twisted sense of humour." Jeremy chuckled.
Mackenzie lifted her shirt just enough for him to see where she had stitches. “I think it’s healed… I don’t know, though.”
Jeremy ran his fingers over the cut. "If you keep it clean and don't do anything to aggrivate it or tear it open, I think the stitches can come out."
"The ball."
"Oh, yeah. Let's take a look." Jeremy said, pulling a new pair of gloves on.
"Aw, man…" She snapped her fingers, then took the tiara back. Mackenzie looked at it for a moment, then placed it on the table where he had put the needle earlier. "Hey, when can I get my stitches out?"
"Lemme check it out. What happened again?"
"No, I think that’s it…" She smiled. "Also, you should keep that tiara on. It’s a good look." She joshed with a giggle.
"Thanks, but no thanks." Jeremy said, taking the tiara off and holding it out to her.
"So give him the flowers."
:”Okay… I will!”
"Is there anything else I can help you with?"
"Yeah, that’s Freddie." She smiled. "Uh.. Yeah I do…"
"So give him the flowers."
"Freddie? Is that weird if I do? Like, do boys like getting flowers?"
"Yeah, I'm not his doctor. I have no idea what his name is. Really tall, scrawny kid with the mess hair. It shows you like him and care about him. And you do like him right?"
"My aunt gave me flowers, but I don’t like them because they remind me of funerals. Can you take them? I don’t know what to do with them."
"Why don't you give them to that boy you're always hanging out with?"
Mackenzie smiled as well. “Oh, Jeremy, will you do something for me?”
"Maybe. What do you need?" He asked after he told the patient he could go.
"Uh… I don’t know. It was just there… Do you prefer the smiley face sticker?"
"I think I'm good, kiddo." Jeremy couldn't help but smile.
"But I didn’t want to wait five seconds. You we’re looking, like, super sad. You needed the tiara, Jeremy."
"It's not sad, it's tired. And why would a tiara fix that?"
"Well it could have, but I was getting impatient."
"Five more seconds and I would have been done." Jeremy said, setting the used needle down on the tray.
"Well you can continue once I’m done, kay?" Mackenzie said as she adjusted it on his head until she was satisfied with where it was. "Now I’m done."
"Thank you, Kenzie." Jeremy gave her a smile before going back to giving the patient on the table a shot. "That couldn't have waited until I was done?"
C’mere.
"Kenzie...I-I don't need a tiara." Jeremy sighed. "I was actually in the middle of something."
Alex shook his head. He just wanted to throw something. He didn’t want to deal with this pain anymore. “You go be fucking happy with her!” He yelled at Jeremy before walking out of his office and slamming the door as hard as possible.
Jeremy sighed, watching Alex go. He didn't have much desire to go after the lad when he was pissed off. The last thing he needed was to get hit.
