âI canât wait, I want to see it all.â Because of her excitement about these activities, Tamami had to hold herself back a bit to not run off to where they were taking place. The only things that could stop her from seeing everything, were if they happened on the same time, or if she suddenly had to leave by the magical method of travel she used to get here. But that was an issue for later.
Thinking she had seen the takoyaki stand they were looking for, she pointed at a stand with a lot of people in front of it. âIs that it, over there?â Then, reading the sign that was barely visible over all the people, she added. âNevermind.â
âYouâre close, though!â Tsubomi chirped happily, carefully navigating through the crowded walkway. âItâs the booth next to it. Over here, Shigemori-san! It looks like the line isnât that long either!â
Happy at this chance to perhaps make a new friend, Tsubomi let her excitement show on her face a little. âI havenât had takoyaki in awhile myself.â

He hadnât been expected the Hanasaki luck to pass down from sister to sister. But as she brushes herself off, Gentaro takes a first aid from the desk. âShould I warn the school nurse about you, Miss Hanasaki? She might need to be informed.â
The jest aside, he starts in on the science lesson, discussing the parts of flowers, and making it easy for everyone in the class. âNow, can anyone tell me the difference between a perennial and a biannual?â He searches the room for raised hands.
âIâm not quite that clumsy!â Futaba couldnât help but huff, but she took the joke with stride still. As Gentaro began his lesson, she diligently began taking notes. Of course, she couldnât help but perk up at that question- even if her passion for flowers wasnât as strong as her older sisterâs (which generally, was rather hard to compete with), she still had grown up in a flower loving family- of course she knew the answer!
Raising her hand, Futabaâs eyes almost glittered. Answering a question correctly on the first day would give off a smart impression... step one in making some new friends!

Yuko was happy to see that the two of them enjoyed their meals. She smiled at the other girl.
âThank you for coming all this way to Omori Bento! I hope youâll find Pikarigaoka is a nice town. Is there any particular reason youâre visiting today?â
It wasnât every day that she met someone who knew one of her friends. And it was Hime no less! The Princess of the Blue Sky Kingdom had surely come a long way!
âW-well.â Tsubomiâs face turned bright red when Yuko asked why she was here today. It was a little embarrassing to admit that sheâd come here to see Yuko in person! After all, she was naturally interested in her fellow Precure- even if she didnât know how to express that to the brunette.
No, this wouldnât do! She had say something!
âI actually came here to visit Omori Bento and meet you, Omori-san. After all, you could say that we share a similar destiny.â
solartambourine:
âI absolutely believe so, Tsubomi. But it will take some time. The Great Heart Tree needs more time to grow. Trying to bring Cologne back now would be like asking Futaba to play a concerto on a piano.â Itsuki shrugs. âYou understand what Iâm saying?â
âYes, of course.â Tsubomi nodded her head. âIâm sure that will make Yuri-san very happy when that happens. She really wasnât dealt a fair hand in all of this.â
âAh, but thatâs a depressing subject for our date, right? We should talk about something else. How is school going for you, Itsuki?â
When was the last time you saw Olivier?
âI spoke with him on the phone the other day, but itâs been awhile since Iâve actually seen him in person.â
happyricelovesong:
Yuko observed the two other girls eat their meals. With Tsubomiâs exclamation, Yuko couldnât help but smile. It went without saying that Yuko was very passionate about food. It was a frequent topic brought up in her family, after all. But the reason Yuko loved cooking so much wasnât just because of the food. She liked to make people happy after all!
Yuko waited for the two girls to finish their meals. It would be rude to interrupt them after all.
âAh, Futaba, you have a bit on your face.â Tsubomi noted, reaching over to wipe off some crumbs from her younger sisterâs face. Finishing up her own meal, she set down her chopsticks on the bento box, wiping her own face.
âIt was delicious, Omori-san. I can see why Hime-chan loves this place so much.â
âDelicious!â Futaba chanted, repeating her older sister.

The class all greets the newcomer with smiles. âThereâs a seat for you over there.â Gentaro points to the open desk by the window, last row from the back. âAnd when the day is done, please come see me. I like to take the time to get to know all my new students, so I can help them achieve their goals.â
âAh, yes!â Futaba glanced over at her teacher, nodding her head. âI will be sure to, Kisaragi-sensei! Thank you!â
With that said, Futaba took a step off of the platform- and promptly slipped, falling rather unceremoniously on her face. It would seem that this was one of the traits that had been passed on from her older sister- the trademark clumsiness. Still, she pushed herself up, laughing a bit awkwardly.
âIâm fine, donât worry about me!â Getting to her feet, she hurriedly dusted off her uniform, and made her way to her seat without any more mishaps.

Ayame blinked a little when the other girl seemed so sure that sheâd take good care of the book, though a small smile soon made its way onto her lips. She was glad to know that Tsubomi trusted her enough to lend her something that was no doubt important.
Her smile grew softer as the pink haired girl replied to her remark, and she nodded her head slightly. Although she wasnât sure of why, there were times when she found herself thinking that she didnât deserve Yuriâs affection; her sister always seemed to notice and reassure her, though, even if she never said a word about it. In an ocean of unanswered questions and doubts, Yuriâs unchanging love was one of the few things she was sure of.
âYes, youâre right, she really does.â Ayame answered, a faint pink blush on her cheeks. âI didnât mean to say that she can be stifling like itâs a bad thing, itâs just a little⊠Um, unexpected? Onee-san always seems to know what sheâs doing and sheâs really good at handling me, but she still worries a lot. I mean, the toaster still scares me, but thatâs not the point.â The black haired girl added, then blinked a little, realizing that sheâd probably said too much.
It was still somewhat unusual to see a smile on the face of the one who had once been known as Dark Precure, so it always took Tsubomi aback whenever she did smile. Such occasions were somewhat rare, especially when her sister wasnât around- but it was a good thing. It was a sign that she was growing as her own person, Tsubomi thought.
It was a nice smile.
âThe toaster?â Tsubomi blinked, unable to help but giggle a little at that. âAh, sorry, Ayame-chan. Iâm not really laughing at you or anything, itâs a bit unexpected, thatâs all. Iâm sure youâll get used to it in time... itâs rather surprising how it just pops out like that, right?â
âWell, apparently when I was a baby, I was terrified of the microwave for some reason... although I donât remember it at all. Grandma was the one who told me about it.â
solartambourine:
âHe is growing rather quickly. But remember, he came into this world before we almost lost it all. When confronted with an apocalypse, most people will grow up. Fairies too.â
The oden is placed in front of the girls, and Itsuki thanks the vendor for the food. âLetâs eat!â
âI suppose thatâs true.â Tsubomi observed, nodding her head. Snapping her chopsticks apart, she turned to her oden, for a moment simply swirling her chopsticks in it.
âSpeaking of fairies... do you think Cologne will ever be reborn?â Tsubomi glanced over at Itsuki. âDark Precure was revived somehow, so itâs possible, right?â
solartambourine:
âI have some pictures if you want to see them.â Itsuki opens her phone to show off the adorable image. âThese were taken before Futaba started drooling. Isnât it cute?â
The picture shows a very happy Futaba cuddling Potpourri against her body, while the little fairy beams as if heâs just found a lifelong friend.
âAfterwards, Potpourri washed up and did this.â She scrolls to the next to last picture taken where the golden fairy is lightly kissing Futaba on the forehead. The last picture is of Potpourri blushing the same shade of pink that often adorns Tsubomiâs face, and this blush is caused by the realization that the kiss was caught on camera.
âI do!â Tsubomi quickly nodded her head. How could she not want to see such surely adorable pictures? Combining a fairy as cute as little Potpourri and her little sister, who was of course, the cutest one in the world, there was no doubt that the ensuing scene must have been very cute!
âAh, youâre right. They look very content like that... although I guess it must have surprised poor Potpourri-chan when she started drooling.â Tsubomi couldnât help but smile in spite of this, even more so when Itsuki showed her the next picture.
âPotpourri-chan is really growing up, arenât they? It feels like not long ago he was just a little baby.â

âI think that events such as this festival are more enjoyable in good company.â Not having an idea where the takoyaki stand was, the delicious smell seemed to come from everywhere, Tamami made a gesture in a random direction. âSo please, lead the way.â
âSo besides the takoyaki and your workshop, what other things can I expect to find on this festival?â Given the limited time she had here today, Tamami thought it a smart idea to plan beforehand where she wanted to do and what she wanted to see.
âI agree, actually.â Tsubomi was quick to say. âExploring them by yourself has it charms, but it can also be kind of lonely.â
Blinking at the girlâs question, she pursed her lips, trying to recall what she had heard about other classes and clubs doing. âAh, I think one of the third year classes are putting on a haunted house cafe. All the servers are dressed up as monsters. Doesnât that sound like fun?â
âI think the astronomy club is doing a presentation on the stars, theyâve even set up a mock planetarium.â

âAll right everyone, listen up!â Gentaro claps his hands together three times and whistles sharply to get the attention of those didnât immediately quiet down.
âClass, we have a new student joining us today.â He calls to the other side of the sliding door, where she waits. âEveryone, say hello to Hanasaki Futaba!â
Breathe in, breathe out.
Futaba might not be as shy and withdrawn as her sister was at her age, but transferring to a new school would make anyone nervous. Still, if Tsubomi had been able to do it, then surely she could handle it as well.
Even so, she flinched when the teacher introduced her, recognizing that as her cue to come inside. Scrambling a bit fretfully, the knowledge of how to open a sliding door briefly left her- before she finally remembered and slid it open, stepping into the room.
âI-Iâm Hanasaki Futaba!â She quickly said, introducing herself and giving a bow to the class. âItâs nice to meet you! I hope we can all study together!â
solartambourine:
âYou didnât make me wait long at all, Tsubomi.â Itsuki shifts her weight on the stool and turns to face her girlfriend. âIâve already ordered so you can take a seat and share this summer day with me.â
With a smile, she starts telling a cute story. âDid you know that Futaba met Potpourri the last time I visited your house? Potpourri wound up snuggled against her for two hours while she slept. Though, as is to be expected, Futaba drools in her sleep.â
âEh, did she?â Tsubomi blinked, more than a little startled by this information. âAnd he got drooled on... I canât help but feel a little bit sorry for Potpourri-chan. I hope he didnât get too sticky.â
Well, she wasnât too worried about her little sister meeting the fairy- most likely as she got older, she would forget about it, as children were wont to do. She was only a year old, after all. âIâll have to apologize to him the next time I see him...â
happyricelovesong:
Yuko took Tsubomiâs order happily. She always loved new customers! And could the other girl be a new friend? She hoped so! To see her friends enjoying her food and being happyâŠ
That was her dream!
It didnât take long for the food to be served. Phantom was a hard worker! Yuko was glad to have him around, and not just because he was technically an employee of Omori Bento!
âHere you go! One daily special bento and croquette with chocolate milk!â She was sure that Tsubomi and Futaba would enjoy their meals!
âThank you very much!â Tsubomi bowed her head as Yuko delivered their meals. âIâve heard very good things about this place from Hime-chan, so Iâm sure itâs all very delicious.â
Glancing back towards Futaba for a moment, Tsubomi carefully placed her food in front of her, pulling apart the croquette into smaller pieces so that her little sister would be able to eat it without worry. Opening up the chocolate milk, she popped a straw inside, before placing that within her sisterâs reach as well.
Once that was done, Tsubomi turned back towards her own meal, breaking apart her chopsticks. âThen, letâs eat!â
It took only the first bite to confirm everything that Hime had told her- the food here really was amazing!
âDelicious!â
