Hi! In the rough drafts submission form where it ask if the rough drafts are finished, does that mean if it's the final draft or if the piece itself is finished?

Hi! It means the final draft! You’ll have until December 19th to finish the piece. That question is there in case anybody hasn’t been able to produce a draft in time and needs to drop out.

Date Changes

Hello, Witchlings!  Due to an imbalance in numbers, we are extending sign ups for artists and changing several dates.  The Schedule tab has been updated with the new dates.  If you are an artist thinking of signing up, you have a little more time to decide!

October 31st - last day for sign ups for all artists, authors, and betas

November 7th - art rough drafts are due

November 14th - claim forms are due

November 29th - 1st check in for artists and authors

December 13th - 2nd check in

December 19th - 3rd check in

December 21st - Jan 5th - posting on assigned date

Hi! This might be a silly question, but does art need to be finished by claims or will writers claim the rough drafts and work with artists from there?

Not a silly question at all!  Art does not have to be finished by claims.  The authors will claim based on the rough draft of the art, and artist and authors will work with each other to complete the art and fics. Art and fics must be complete by December 19th, so posting can begin on Midwinter, which is December 21st, but we are looking at extending some of the deadlines as we have way more authors than artists.  We hope you will consider signing up!

Seeking Artists

We have had an overwhelming response to our author sign ups, and while we are happy to have our wonderful authors, we have had much fewer artists sign up.  We are debating closing author sign ups early, but we wanted to put a call out for additional artists before we decide to do that.  We can extend artist sign ups another week or so, but we can’t extend too much without going over our Midwinter first date of posting. Please toss us a reblog, and tag your favorite Geraskier fan artists who might be interested in signing up!

Announcing the Geraskier Midwinter Reverse Mini Bang

We are excited to announce the Geraskier Midwinter Reverse Mini Bang!  Sign ups are now open for artists, authors, and beta readers, and the bang is open to anyone 13+ of any experience level.  

The theme for this reverse mini bang is Midwinter!  

The last day for artists to sign up is October 20th.  The last day for authors and betas to sign up is October 31st.

I had some questions regarding Fae!Jaskier’s outfit in my Geraskier fic, He Fell into a Faerie Ring, so I decided to finally make a proper reference for his clothing! This took a lot longer than planned, but ended up being a lot of fun to work on.

This is my second character sheet, I have one more planned. The first one, which focuses on his Fae form and expressions, can be found here.

This is my entry for Geraskier Midsummer Mini Bang ( @geraskiermidsummerminibang )! It's an illustration for @goodheavensgwen 's amazing fic, A Midsummer Night's Quarantine (https://archiveofourown.org/works/25212550), where Jaskier throws Geralt a Midsummer Festival while they are both in quarantine 🌺

I really enjoyed taking part in this project! It was my first experience of the kind, and I want to thank the mods, and of course, @goodheavensgwen for it 🌻

Jaskier gets invited back to his hometown to sing at a Midsummer festival, and he invites his boyfriend, Geralt, along. Geralt has been dating Jaskier for a long time, and although the bard is talkative and seemingly carefree, Jaskier is hiding parts of his past and Geralt knows there is more to Jaskier than he lets on. While at the festival, Jaskier learns of his father’s death, and tries to pick up the pieces of the family and the life he’s left behind, finally confronting the reality that he has inherited the position of Viscount de Lettenhove. In the midst of Midsummer feasts, dancing, and other activities, Jaskier finally confronts his true feelings for Geralt, works out what pleases him, and learns that he can choose his new family.

Every wolf in Kaer Morhen knows this song, from the littlest trainees to the oldest masters. It has played in this clearing ever since this clearing existed, made only of the bodies and voices of the pack, supporting the love of those within it. The dance, too, is ancient, the steps the same for each witcher who marries at this fire.

He dreamed, as a child, of dancing around this fire. Of dancing with Luka around this fire. And here they are.

@geraskiermidsummerminibang  art pt 1! I’m so happy to have @wingedquill as my author, and @imaginarydiscographies as our beta/cheerleader; we’ve created some really good work here. Their fic, “the sun wed the storm” is about Geralt, his late husband, and how to move on and find more happiness in life with Jaskier.
