✩ Welcome to the SSKK Mini Bang of 2026! ✩

This is an event that pairs writers and artists to create illustrated short stories surrounding the BSD ship Atsushi Nakajima/Akutagawa Ryūnosuke!

In a Mini Bang, participants will be creating fanfics with a ~3-5k wordcount, and every fic will be accompanied by one complete illustration. Big Bang pieces are normally very long and take months to complete, while a Mini Bang is a much shorter version!

We'll be releasing an interest check soon, stay tuned!

She’s spent too long thinking about that comment to respond to it naturally, so she just clears her throat and starts the car. The engine coughs and stalls out on the first try. And the second.

“You pressing the clutch?” asks the guy, like Jenny’s never driven manual before.

THM Dragon Age Mini Bang: 10k Words

Coming January 2026, The Hanged Man Discord Server is hosting a Dragon Age Mini Bang! The main difference with a Mini Bang is the word count! Those who have never participated in such an event or find writing long fanfictions daunting may find the Mini Bang to be an easier introduction to deadline-based fandom events!

For this event, each participant pairing will create one new Dragon Age fanfic with a minimum word count of 10,000 words and one art piece inspired by that work. Writer sign-up form opens January 17th 2026 Artist sign-up form opens February 15th 2026 The Mini Bang will run from Writing kickoff on January 31st until the final submission date on May 16th with reveals beginning on May 17th.
