When you meet someone who is deeply conscious, one of two things usually happens.
Either you let their presence awaken something higher in you. They show you the parts of yourself you couldn’t see, and instead of running from it, you grow through it.
Or they touch your ego so deeply that you reject the mirror completely. You pull away, blame them, and project your own shadows onto them because facing yourself feels too exposing.
By Roger Ibáñez.
