They hadn’t exactly had a lot of time to discuss... things. Like Scott running around with the goddamn Avengers and saving the world. Or how Hope just... didn’t exist? For like? A while apparently? He was still so dizzy on the details of the whole Thanos thing. And couldn’t believe he’d punched some aliens. Or met some. Or... jeez, man, it was a lot to take in.

But at least Hope wasn’t gone forever and he didn’t have to be stuck in limbo forever and maybe life could go on! Eventually! But for now? He would settle for simply enjoying the fact that they were together once more. Scott tapped her on the shoulder gently, knuckles rapping ever so slightly. “Hey, you. You... you know. Good?”

Hi guys, don't know if everyone follows the mainblog for this little dumpster fire, but I'm back! Good to see you all, and horribly sorry for the delay.

I'm gonna scrap all my drafts/threads, mostly Bc I have no idea where to start on them, so feel absolutely free to hmu with anything. Messages, plotting, just a damn starter. Whatever you'd like. :)

He frowned slightly, giving Alex a concerned look. “I’m not trying to say having… someone… is a bad thing. I just— I don’t wanna see you get hurt again. That’s all.”

“Oh I don’t have someone, it was just sex”- Alex looked down because he was getting red.-“ Father says that I’m an adult and is my problem so yeah, don’t worry ”

“That’s not— oh, Alex, come on. If no one checks in on you, you might—” he sighed and shook his head, that frown deepening as he stepped forward a little to pat the younger man on the back. “I’m here for you, is what I’m trying to say. Even if you’re an adult, just remember someone really, really cares about you. Okay? Because you deserve to know that.” He couldn’t help but parent, just a little.

"You're... being safe and all, right?" He's doing the dad thing. He can't help it-- by now, after "dating" Anthony for long enough, he developed quite a soft spot for the kid.

Scott couldn't help but smile too, hugging Alex back. "I missed you too, kiddo," he said, rubbing circles on his back.

Scott laughs manically and completely disregards her pleas-- just because she’s younger and a chick doesn’t mean he will go easy on her. Not at all. And so he launches that blue shell and passes her on the final lap, stealing the Mario Kart win.

“Huehue... Looks like I win. Again. Round three, Fen?”

"Of course! And you?"

“I’m well. Busy, mostly. Your old man is kickin’ my ass with all the work, but I appreciate the challenge of it all.”

Sure, he glanced down at his pecs, barely covered by that sinfully thin, white, damp shirt. How couldn’t he? Captain Fucking America. Scott shrugged and smiled back, forcing his eyes up to Steve’s face. It wasn’t much better– chiseled jaw, blue eyes, a perfect nose and the curve of his lips… Fuck. He was so much better in person than any history textbook’s blurry little black and white Polaroids could ever convey. 

“Ah—” he said, having been too focused on how good Steve was looking to really pay attention to what he said. Giving himself a long moment by clearing his throat, Scott nodded. “ Yeah… But I mean. I’m perfectly fine staying over here and enjoying the view. –I mean! It’s, ah, it’s probably good to watch and learn, right?” –What a save.

“You are underestimating yourself, you know? You are good looking and have a great sense of humor. That’s something quite hard to find nowadays,  buddy.” He said visibly amused by Scott’s words.  He spent most of his life as a scrawny sick kid.  The blond man found amusing causing a reaction on people when it was so hard to get a date before.

“I’m going to have a quick shower and then going to grab something to eat. Why don’t you join me?” He offered affably.  Steve didn’t know a lot of people in Wakanda.  He didn’t like going out quite often. He preferred staying inside. Scott was a great company. He loved spending time with him because he felt normal. It was rare to be with someone who didn’t see him as a legend rather than a normal guy.

“Sure!” he replied, then cleared his throat and tried to compose himself. He couldn’t seem too eager... “I would be, ah... I would really like that.”

Nailed it.

Scott winced, then forced his face into a nervous smile. He didn’t think he underestimated himself, but if Steve thought more of him, who was he to argue? The man had punched Hitler in the face. His word was law as far as he was concerned. Not that he tried to focus entirely on that... Steve wasn’t just an idol, he was a damn good man, and Scott respected that far more than the legend he was. That was, honestly, why his attention got him all flustered. He was just so handsome.

“Listen, I’m fine,” he insisted, trying to wave Amelia off. It was obviously a lie– Scott was wheezing something awful, and having to keep a hand firmly pressed to his tender ribs. When he’d been hit with that metal bar, something had snapped inside him, and not in the I’m-about-to-go-bananas kinda way.
