Ashe and B.O.B. meet Efi and Orisa at an amusement park

Ashe doesn’t have time for all that. Sure, amusement parks can be fun, but it doesn’t give her quite the thrill that Deadlock life does. Plus, B.O.B. always gets her to buy one of those stupid hats for kids. As a disguise, of course. She’s got quite the bounty on her head. Part of her secretly likes the hat, since her childhood was a little void of connections like this, but she’ll pout if any of the people in costumes try to engage with her. B.O.B. literally does not care. He’s been with Ashe long enough to have been through all of her bullshit. He’s rolling his eyes the whole time.

Efi and Orisa, on the other hand, love the amusement park! They go when they can, and it’s always lots of fun! They can’t go on a lot of rides together, but the snacks and the environement make up for it! Efi is pretty young, and so is Orisa, which means they definitely wear the cute hats that kids do! Orisa takes very good care of her hat and initially gets worried it’ll get dented or creased, but Efi reassures her that her mom can put it back and things will be okay. Lots of kids buy the hat when Orisa does.

Ashe decides she wants a drink and wants to grab a beer from the bar. I want a drink. She glances beside her to see… No one. What. She looks around to see B.O.B. getting inspected by an OR-15 (no, 16?) unit. She sighs deeply and walks over to them. There’s a little girl beside the robot, and she’s talking to B.O.B.. Sorry about that! Orisa gets really excited when she sees someone her size! Ashe glances over to see the robot, Orisa, she guesses, nodding.

Did you make him? Orisa looks curiously at Ashe, who widens her eyes. She doesn’t want to get caught, and making this big robot horse upset definitely might do the job. Uh, no, I didn’t. But we came here together. She nods at B.O.B., who has a mischievous glint in his eye. No. B.O.B.. Please. The little girl speaks up again. I’m Efi! What’s your name? She’s looking at B.O.B., and Ashe just wants to die.

Uh, his name’s B.O.B.. Her butler nods and waves. Every second that Efi’s eyes aren’t on Ashe, she’s glaring daggers at B.O.B., who is thoroughly enjoying himself. C’mon, B.O.B., we should- Orisa begins to walk away with B.O.B., pointing at a ride for actual children. B.O.B.. Ashe looks at her butler desperately, but he just seems pleased with himself. She sighs deeply, getting in line behind them. This is going to be a long day.

Orisa and B.O.B. take turns running around the park and playing together. They get their hands (spray)painted, they do scavenger hunts, and they even run a few races around the park! Ashe is getting extremely tired. Efi, with a butterfly on her cheek, notices and pipes up. Sorry if we interrupted you. Ashe blinks at the girl and shakes her head. No, it’s alright. This is more B.O.B.’s day than mine. She shrugs.

What’s your name? Efi asks. The outlaw pauses for half a second. Elizabeth. She hates that, but it’s not like she should be telling everyone that she’s Ashe. Efi nods. I’m Efi. She glances at the two robots playing in the water park, and for a moment, Ashe feels a kind of kinship with this girl. She often felt like she was abandoned without genuine companionship until her butler, and almost feels a connection between her and B.O.B. and Efi and Orisa. This girl must be intelligent for her age.

Efi! Come spin in the teacup with us! Orisa soon waves her creator over, and Efi’s running speed towards the teacup makes Ashe lose all credibility in her prior thought process. Goddamn it. She shakes her head and follows them into the teacup. Orisa and B.O.B. spin extremely fast, and Orisa’s hat falls off during the ride. After the ride, they find her hat scuffed. Orisa looks rather sad, and Ashe hands her her own hat. Here. B.O.B. n’ me should get going soon, anyway. Orisa blinks at the hat, exchanging it. Thank you! She seems to smile, and that makes Ashe smile a little. She catches herself, and glances away, a bit embarrassed. Hey, why don’t y’all grab some snacks before we go? She points to the nearest gift shop. Efi hesitates, reaching into her pocket for her wallet, but Ashe shakes her head. I’ll pay.

Angela often frets about you, though you don’t really see most of it. She often considers herself an exception to a rule, but only in the best ways. For example, she’ll let herself endure late nights with an almost comical cast of characters, but dislikes when you have to do the same. She’s all-too familiar with the health risks that come with staying up late, but knows well that it really isn’t your fault. Still, that doesn’t stop her from worrying.

She often comes back to her room at early hours of the morning, dropping her bags beside her desk, then getting ready for bed as she checks her phone for missed messages. She reads that you’re not doing so well tonight, and frowns. She texts back. I hope you get rest, schatz. She starts to get changed for bed, when she notices a few dots moving on her screen, indicating that you’re typing. She squints, having taken her contacts out. Why is she typing back? It’s three AM. Oh no. She shakes her head, then gets ready to go over to your place to keep you company.

She makes warm tea. The honey (or caramel, if you prefer) is sweet, and you can practically feel the love that she makes it with. She shushes you if you apologize for worrying her. I just want to make sure you’re alright. It’s no problem. You notice the bags under her eyes, but she shrugs it off. Please. I’ve had much worse. Have I ever told you about that 42 hour shift…? She tells you plenty of stories to pass the time, and it’s not exactly rare for her to fall asleep in the middle of one of her stories.

Soon enough, however, she jolts awake, glancing at you. Oh, I’m sorry… She yawns, moving to your bed. Come here. She holds her arms out, and you fit between them, as she holds you close to her chest. Every day is hard work, you know. At least pretend to sleep for my sake… She’s joking, of course. If you feel lonely, wake me up. I love you. There’s something rather relaxing about her breathing pattern as she falls asleep, and though it’s not a permanent fix, Angela definitely makes things easier.

D.Va

Hana gets it. Sometimes you just can’t fall asleep. Her affliction is a bit different, however, as she always seems stressed. The stress keeps her up, making her think she could be or should be working. She knows you worry, but sometimes it’s nice to have someone to talk to during the early hours of the day. She always checks for your messages while she fixes up her mech or plays a game. She knows it sucks, but she’s there for you.

She sometimes catches you online at random hours and messages you with emoticons, often suspicious. >_> did you fall asleep at your desk She hopes you laugh at her texts. only one of us can stay up this late and it’s gonna be ME >:^( She likes the idea that you’re laughing in your room, but sometimes wonders if she’s just annoying you. want me to come over though? is it hangout time She loves coming over to visit you, to be honest, though she wishes she could help you out somehow. She grabs her laptop and mouse and comes over as fast as she can.

Sometimes she brings sleeping bags for you both to lie down in. She’ll even whisper like she’s at a sleepover. Hey, babe. Look at this meme. She lowers her phone brightness and passes you her phone. That’s you. She points out a gif of a small cartoon character lying face down. Wait for it… Another character lies down on top of the original. That one is me. She gives you a little grin and hugs you from the side. She loves cuddling to at least make you feel safe or comfortable before bed.

You feel her poke your arm to show you another meme, and turn to see her nearly drop her phone onto her face. Hey, look at this. You look at her phone and you just see her home screen. There isn’t even a meme there. Oh, wait. She looks back at her phone, then puts it down again. She closes her eyes. Good night. She’s yawning and buries her face into your neck, her arms wrapped around you. She snuggles closer to you, holding you a little bit closer. Good luck getting up. She’s only half-joking.

Sombra

Olivia is definitely no stranger to all-nighters. She’s always been pretty busy with different projects or jobs, and loves having her own schedule. She’ll always meet her deadlines, but there are definitely times when she cuts it a bit close and stays up a bit later than she should be. Still, she worries when you don’t sleep enough. She’s always ready to do anything for you, whether it be her coming over or you just wanting to talk online.

Whenever she sees that you’re awake, she wants to help. She always offers to come over in case you’re bored, lonely, or just want to see her. She doesn’t care that it’s 2 AM! You need her? She’s there. She has an overnight bag that she always keeps packed just in case. Originally, it was in case someone were to catch up to her, but nowadays it’s just for going to see you and staying over. She wishes that you could sleep well, but the other part kind of likes spending interrupted time with you. As long as she can have you, she will. Most mornings, she’ll still be clinging to you.

If you really can’t sleep, she’ll motion for you to follow her. Come on. You might be confused the first time, but she gives you that little smirk she knows you love. Oh? You don’t trust me? She’s joking, of course. It’s a surprise. When you follow her, she takes you out of the house and to an all-night snack place. Go pick whatever you want. She waves at the owner of the place, then points at you. Anything she wants, give her two. She gives you a grin. Olivia loves surprising you and making you smile.

You’ll probably fall asleep before she does. She’s human too, of course, but she’ll keep herself busy with a laptop. She might even tease you a little about it. Oh? Now you’re tired? You just wanted me to come over, huh? She’s grinning, joking of course. I’m glad you’re getting to sleep. She checks the clock. I should probably sleep, too, huh? She lies down beside you and puts an arm around you. Sleep tight, baby. Most nights like this, she’ll fall asleep in your arms almost immediately, exhausted.

Moira notices that you’ve changed your background recently. She tries to sneak peeks, but you’re too quick about maneuvering the various apps and such on your phone that the poor geneticist can’t quite piece together what you are unknowingly hiding from her. It begins to bother her, and she goes through the deductive motions.

You wouldn’t cheat, she’s sure, but a small voice inside of her is asking about what you could possibly be hiding. Moira tries to act natural and spends time with you, but you start to notice that she’s acting a bit strange, often lost in thought and staring at your phone. You start to wonder, but don’t ask quite yet, giving Moira an opportunity to explain herself and get herself together.

A few uncomfortable days pass before Moira finally asks what your phone screen is. I’ve noticed that you changed your home screen on your phone. What is it? She sips her coffee, almost nonchalant, but you know Moira a bit too well and notice that she’s looking away intentionally, attempting to be distant, when internally she must be dying of curiosity.

You smile and show her your phone, after explaining that the character is based on her. You tilt your head a bit, studying the geneticist’s reaction. Moira internally is sighing deeply, relieved. Of course it wasn’t something strange. She should’ve just asked to begin with, but it’s no surprise she has a few trust issues considering her rather unfortunate past. She shakes her head, chuckling to herself. She directs a long nail at the character’s slight smirk, and gives you her trademark smirk in response.

Ah, this. This is almost unmistakeable. Very well done. She loves watching you get shy or blush. I think you did a rather good job in encapsulating my personality, aghrá… She chuckles, reaching out and gently caressing your cheek, squeezing a little. I’m very pleased to know that you like me that much. She’s teasing, of course, knowing that you love her. Now, did you draw this? You raise your eyebrows, excited by her interest. Oh, there’s more, then? Well, the night is young. She lets you go and heads to the living room. I’ll make a snack for us, and you can tell me all about this character. Siebren de Kuiper is incredibly bright. His laugh is a bit foreign, but not completely unfamiliar to those around him, especially if someone special gets his attention. He gets rather nervous at times, worried that you might not reciprocate his feelings, which leads him to a plethora of overthinking. He practically has flowcharts written out about every single way a conversation you two might have will go. It’s embarrassing, but it makes him feel more confident for when he does talk to you.

He admires passion in a partner, and will often suggest you two try new things, in case the tedium becomes, well, tedious. He buys you gifts fairly often to see what sorts of things you’re interested in, smiling whenever he gets something right. If you don’t like gifts, however, no need to fear! He also likes to cuddle quite a lot, burying his face into your hair and picking you up in his arms to move you somewhere more comfortable. He loves carrying you, even with his gravitational pull, which he’ll sometimes use when he misses you too much. It’s absolutely cheesy, but he finds it incredibly amusing. If that happens, he doesn’t know what he’ll do. Still, his stolen moments with you remind him that he should be happy anytime you’re near. Luckily for him, he is.

Sombra loves you so much and tries to support you every time there’s a new event or thing on your schedule to attend, but she typically doesn’t like attending such varying events. She doesn’t know how you do it, but still does her best to cheer you on, even if sometimes she’ll have to double-check her schedule to see what cause or team she’s encouraging on a particular day.

She’s glad you’re busy in your time apart, but sometimes gets pouty that you two don’t get as much private time together. This is easily rectified by promising her cuddles. She supports you to the point where if things get overwhelming, she makes sure that she’s always available to text, call, or come over if you need or want her. She’s there for you when you need to calm down or need a break from things, and always shows up with a snack and a little drink for you in case you forget to take care of yourself. You’re good at being there for every team and event, and she’s good at being there for you.
