The new studio was enormous and you felt nervous looking at it, but taking this big step into your plan of career was something you needed to do, more than ever. So many plans were left undone for a long time, therefore this was it. This was definitely it.
BigHit Ent.
You never thought you’d come across any company in South Korea, let alone one that has been so prospective for the last few years, but you were here and this was your time to shine.
You could feel your heart pump so fast you thought you were going to collapse at any time and end your dream before even starting to live it. Normally you’d be worrying about many things, but at this moment you just wanted to enjoy your biggest accomplishment.
You were officially hired as a dancer and choreographer for the new group Big Hit was about to debut.
“One and two, three and four. Now move slowly to the ground... and up.”
“Eonni, this is too difficult,” Seolhee complained, not frustrated with you, but with herself. She had a lot of problems regarding learning new choreographies; she was an exceptional singer, but not that good of a dancer.
“You can do it, Seolhee-ah.” You patted her hair as you walked past her to pause the song.
“I can’t, this is just- Argh!”
“He’s a normal person like you, dummy. You’ll rock it.”
You were teaching the choreography Seongdeuk created with you, it was for an end of the year stage which Seolhee and Jimin would be collaborating on in two months. You were impatient as well, knowing you’d be hanging out more with BTS again soon enough, but you tried to make her feel as comfortable as possible, they were label mates, she shouldn’t be so nervous.
That’s what you repeated to yourself every day for the rest of the week.
“Are you sure you don’t want to come with us?”
“I’m sure. I’ll have a busy day tomorrow.” You answered Hoseok.
All the crew, including stylists, hairdressers and choreographers would be going out to celebrate a successful year. It’s been three months already and you still felt uncomfortable near everyone. They were all so nice to you, but you weren’t used to that much kindness.
“Oh, please!!!! Noona, you never go.” Jungkook whined, making you almost pout in front of them, Seolhee was looking at you with pleading eyes as well, but all you did was a hiss and deny his invitation once again.
The streets were cold and you thought it would have been a better idea to accept their invitation to celebrate in a cozy place with a lot of orange juice and maybe a little bit of Soju, this was a habit you got from your friends in Brazil, always mixing up some alcohol with sweet things, although you weren’t much of a drinker.
Your phone started buzzing and despite walking alone, you weren’t afraid of being stolen - the magic of South Korea. You picked up your phone and answered immediately without looking twice to the number on the screen.
“Hello?”
“Where are you now?” You heard a familiar husky voice speaking without any greetings first.
“Ehm… who wants to know?”
“Really? Okay, it’s Yoongi.” You could hear his chuckle almost offended by not having his phone number saved on your contacts list.
“Oh, Yoongi-ssi.”
“I already said you can call me oppa.”
“O-oh, okay… o...ppa?” You could feel cold sweat dripping down on your back. It was so unusual to even be noticed by him during the times you met each other, because you were always talking majorly about work and how he could improve even more, because Yoongi was a really good dancer already, just a tiny bit lazy; sometimes you were discussing the feeling of some songs so you could work better on them. You never spoke with him outside of work, just that one time you were eating in the cafeteria of Inkigayo waiting for the new girl group’s debut and you met him there so he just sat with you and made small talk to pass the time.
He was the sweetest person ever, albeit he tried to convey the opposite, you could see through that with his small actions towards people around him, always kind, always caring, always him.
In the beginning it was difficult to not stare when you were in the same room, a few times you didn’t notice his presence much when you were focused on your job as to help others with their dance movements, but when you had a break your eyes always darted directly to his figure almost immediately, as if they belonged there. Like magnets, as you explained to your friends these weird things you kept doing whenever you were near him. And you wanted it to stop, but then he was calling you for whatever reason he had and it just didn’t feel right. Almost like you didn’t deserve to have his attention.
“So, where are you right now?”
“Ehm, walking home?”
“Is this a question? Don’t you know where you are?”
“No! I mean… I do! It’s just… I’m flustered by your call.”
“Why?”
“I was just not expecting it.” You, of five years ago, wouldn’t even be able to mutter a word to him, so you were very thankful for time and growth because you were having a normal - weird - conversation with someone you admired a lot without stuttering or giving away the state of awkwardness you were in at this very moment.
“I see! Well… I need to know so I can pick you up.”
You choked on your saliva.
“Hey… you okay?”
“Y-yes! Just… what did you just say?”
“I need to know so I can pick you up.” He repeated almost as if you didn’t hear him, which he knew you obviously did.
Yoongi wasn’t stupid.
Yoongi knew you were declining invitations because of him, he isn’t much talkative because he is a good observer and to your despair, he had been observing you for quite a long time.
He noticed you were always staring, always shying away when he got too close so that intrigued him a little bit more. He started paying attention to the way you treated the - at the time- trainees from the new group. You had to work alongside them to make this group debut in their best shape. Yoongi and Namjoon were helping BigHit’s team with the songs and you were making choreographies with Sungdeuk so your jobs overlapped frequently. You needed to know the feelings of the songs to bring life to the choreo, that’s why you were hired in the first place. You could understand the lyrics and give beautiful meanings to the movements, something Bang PD was extremely impressed about, not just him, mind me telling you.
Yoongi was smiling to himself the first time he saw the sweetest action he thought a human being could do when Sungdeuk almost broke the trainee's heart by scolding them aggressively. Korea’s system of encouraging others was a little bit fucked up, Big Hit was actually very low on those kinds of attitudes, but the time was up and he had to make the girls wake up. After he left the room, Yoongi was about to enter when he saw you talking to all of them in a semi-circle.
Nobody noticed his presence.
“I know you girls are scared and anxious, but you are doing fine. You really are. Improvement comes with time, what your teacher wanted to tell you just now, is that you need to show you are doing your best, even if your best still needs improvement, we just want you to give your all to this.”
The talk went on and on and Yoongi didn’t even enter the room, leaving the girls comfortable enough to cry and get their support from their favorite teacher... You!
Like I said… he wasn’t stupid. He knew observing you wouldn’t be a consequence-free act, so in between these three months, he started having little heart attacks every time you smiled at him. The difference between both of you was that he knew how to hide it so well, yet you couldn’t even pretend you didn’t feel anything.
Everyone started to notice after a while how you and Yoongi communicated through looks and gasps of air when you were almost touching each other’s arms for being so close.
Nobody dared to utter a word about it.
It looked like some sort of soundless communication, that you... especially, didn’t even know was happening. But Yoongi knew, and he knew exactly where all of this was coming from.
“Pick- what?”
“Why are you so deaf today?” He laughed a bit making your stomach churn with the sound of his laugh.
“I’m sorry, I’m just very surprised.” You answered back, trying to steady your voice.
“About what?”
“Just… nevermind- I…”
“Listen, I know you are not going because of me, I’ve realized that quite a while ago, and I just want to know where are you so I can pick you up.” He wasn’t rude, he just really didn’t want to lose more time with useless remarks, he wasn’t giving up.
“I’ll- Ehm.”
“Okay, send me your directions on Kakao, I’ll be waiting. Bye.”
“This is so weird.”
“What is so weird?” He asked looking ahead, concentrating on the road.
“I’m not used to it.” You answered honestly, it was weird still having him giving you rides home every time he was in Seoul and not overseas.
It was weird knowing he would always call you again and again until you picked up and talked to him.
You didn’t understand the reasons behind his actions, albeit he told you millions of times before, he simply liked you.
Dumfounded. No other word could describe how you felt when he told you that, and it was just unbelievable.
“Why do you even like me?” You asked.
“Why do you even like me?” He replied.
“Because you are-- incredible.” You blurted out hiding your face in your hands, laughing nervously and feeling the heat on your cheeks get uncomfortable.
“Well, same applies to you, I only have a few more reasons to add, yet I feel like if I do it now, you’re going to combust.” He chuckled entertained by your always cute reactions.
At first, it was hard for him, you were partially passive aggressive while talking to him, hoping he’d give up on you, fortunately -or not- it didn’t happen. He was not the type to give up on what he really wanted.
And he wanted to get to know you better. That’s how it all started.
“Taking you to dinner out is weird?”
“Definitely.”
“Are you scared?”
“A lot!”
“Will you only give me short answers?” He looked at you half smirking. He knew you were very nervous. In fact, you were against going out in public since you didn’t want to affect his career in any way. Plus you knew it’d be difficult since you worked together, the public wouldn’t see it lightly; not that you had a relationship, because you didn’t.
It took you a bunch of weeks to start having nice conversations about everything and anything… I mean, conversations like normal people.
“Sorry!”
“There you go again… just, relax!” He smiled a little, trying to calm you down, which didn’t really help, so he went a little further, placing his palm on your left thigh and squeezing it a bit.
You took a deep breath and smiled back at him, still a bit nervous since you didn’t know where he was taking you.
“Is this real?” Yoongi had just taken your blindfold off and you couldn’t believe where you were.
The bright colorful lights of the amusement park were so beautiful you were astonished to see the park was opened only for both of you. You were jumping excitedly clapping your hands while Yoongi looked at you fondly. You were so cute!
“Yes, it is. Are you okay now… with our date?” He asked, raising an eyebrow questioningly.
“Hmm, yes! Definitely. I mean… look at this.” You opened your arms and walked close to the merry-go-round with a big smile on your face, not a care in the world, not even being afraid of letting Yoongi see your raw emotions. “This is incredible!”
“I’m glad you like it.” He walked towards you, making you stop looking around and concentrating on the situation you were in. “I needed to impress you to ask you something.”
You gulped and so did he.
“Well, about impressing me… you really did.” You smiled a little. Looking down and trying to breathe. You and he had so much time to get to know each other, to gain each other’s trust, to understand each other’s feelings and at some point, to accept you felt the same way.
Yoongi never started much skinship since he knew you were always so nervous about it, but often he held your hands and kissed the top of your head. Now, he wanted to take a step further.
He didn’t take his eyes off of you and after he was almost touching your chest with his torso. He gently held your waist, still looking at you carefully as if searching for any kind of discomfort from your part.
You were nervous, but you wanted this.
“I know I’m kind of a grandpa when it comes to going out and doing things, but this park is so you and I wanted to see you happy.” He simply said, smiling kindly at you.
Your mind was begging you to not do it, but your body against your own will leaned onto him. You rested your forehead against his firm chest while you sighed in content.
“Thank you!”
You couldn't see it, but Yoongi gave you his widest smile, he kissed the top of your head, like he is used doing now while he felt his chest warm up at the thought of your happiness. You deserved it. Both of you did!
“Thank you for accepting me.” He said almost in a whisper.
“What are you-”
“I know it might be hard because I’m an idol and you don’t believe how much I care for you, but I do. And closing this park is not even close to the things I want to do for you.”
“Oh god, please… don’t do anything like this again.” You looked up, worried. “It’s expensive.”
“You are worth it.” He smiled and his eyes were so beautiful.
“I-”
“I know.” He said, taking one of his hands off your waist, bringing it to your cheek. He held you so close, your bodies were burning with the heat coming from each other’s nervousness.
“Bear with me, will you? I want to be with you. So please, accept me.” He asked quietly and you could feel your eyes getting watery. Everything seemed like a dream and you were just waiting to wake up. After a while though, he chuckled and called your name softly, understanding you were overwhelmed.
“I want to be with you so bad.” You answered back.
“Good.”
“Yeah, good!”
He leaned even more so his lips could touch yours. So soft, so warm, so good.
He was so gentle as if any brusque movement could break you, and you were very impatient, but also letting him lead things. His hand was big and you felt so safe when he touched your cheek as if nothing in the world could hurt you because he was your shield. His tongue was tender, smooth and when it touched yours, you felt waves of electricity running through your entire body.
He was there for you, he wouldn’t go anywhere and he wanted you to accept him.
When you parted the kiss to take a deep breath, you finally got the realization.
This was definitely it. You were living the dream!

After walking for a good hour, you were tired enough to drop dead right there on the street but you needed to head back home, in case Taehyung would be back from the club early - very very early- which you knew wouldn’t happen. It was just your guilty mind telling you that you shouldn’t have left home by yourself since he asked you not to do that.
Too late, though. You were already downtown, tired and thirsty. Maybe some water would do you good, but looking around at all the stores and small places packed with people, you decided you’d go for a coffee at the convenience store you knew were nearby; just five more minutes walking and you’d be there, thus you were sure it wouldn’t be crowded like all the other places were.
You were listening to the music playing in a random mode when you saw the ‘open’ sign on the convenience store, so you smiled a little, then you went in.
The place was cozy and you absolutely loved going there, your favorite cappuccino with chocolate was made in this place. You walked towards the machine, humming to ‘Wine’; the song was calming and you liked the feeling; you put the money there and put the cup just below where the coffee machine would spill your delicious beverage. After that, you thanked the cashier who was working hard to pay for her college bills as you managed to get to know from her.. Once you both talked when you were feeling lonely, so you discovered she studied in the same building as you but you never saw her there, which you thought, was a pity. You’d enjoy having a friend around, other than Jungkook and Jimin, who were actually your brother’s friends.
After politely excusing yourself, you took a sip of the brown liquid and hummed again, this time in content. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath before looking at both sides of the road before crossing it. You weren’t thinking straight when you did that because you had gone directly to the lion’s den. There was a decent pub right there, and a lot of drunk men used to come out of it; you were always scared of them, for reasons you’d like to forget about; when you reached the sidewalk you took another sip of the coffee and you stopped to tie your shoes. When you put your little cup beside your left foot, you weren’t expecting someone to come out of the pub and kick that precious drink; but it happened and you sighed heavily before getting up to see who did that and if the person did it on purpose.
The second you looked at the guy, you knew he was drunk. Everything about his face screamed alcohol and it was only 10 p.m so you were astonished at the fact that you lost your precious beverage to a drunk young man without manners. He looked at you with a smiley face and he hiccuped once.
“Well, my bad, sweetie.” He said before you could tell him how upset you were. In no time there were two guys coming out of the pub, their faces showed anxiety traits, probably caused by their friend. And you could see why; the guy was totally wasted.

“Well, my bad, sweetie.” He said before you could tell him how upset you were. In no time there were two guys coming out of the pub, their faces showed anxiety traits, probably caused by their friend. And you could see why; the guy was totally wasted.
“It’s fine. Just be careful next time.” You tsked, the guys held the young man’s arm and whispered something into his ear. You didn’t know why you were curious, but you were. You bowed to the men and one of them bowed back, apologizing again for what happened. But before you could walk away, the guy who spilled your coffee held your arm back, and both guys next to him got a little startled, just like you.
“I should pay you a new coffee.” He smirked.
“Oh, no, thank you. I better head home now, I’m late.” You smiled kindly, although you felt uncomfortable with the fact that he was still holding your arm.
“Yeah, she’s late Jackson, and so are we. Let’s go, now.” The guy with a frown on his face told the one named Jackson, who was still holding your arm. You saw him smelling something and you didn’t know what happened, but his face changed from a kind guy who was apologizing to someone angry. You felt confusion taking over you too, and you took your arm off his hand forcefully.
“Wait!” He held your arm again and this time the other guy who was looking to the Pub’s entrance looked around to see what was taking so long for them to go home.
“What? Can you please, let go?” You asked, getting anxious.
“Haha, funny.” The one called Jackson smirked again and turned to the boy who was all this time whispering things to the one next to him. “She has their smell.”
“What did you just say?” You asked, again trying to break free from his grip. You didn’t want to cause a scene, but you were about to if he didn’t let go of you.
“Wow, Jinyoung, what a surprise.” He laughed aloud, pulling you in closer to them, sniffing your hair. You automatically slapped the man’s chest and tried to get away, your heart was beating so fast and you were starting to freak the shit out. You knew people would help you if you yelled, downtown was crowded, but it made the entire scene difficult for people to understand what was actually happening since there were a lot of other people coming out from the pub.
“What?” You could hear the one Jackson called answering in a quizzically way while the other one came back whispering to them again that they had to go, and now because someone was coming out. Apparently, someone they were trying to avoid.
“She’s with them, so I need to take her along.” You heard the guy holding you say so you kicked his shin, but he felt nothing and you were starting to get desperate. “I gotta show them they shouldn’t mess up with me again.”
“Fucking let me go!!!” You started to make a fuss and a few men in front of the pub noticed, but before you could cry for help, Jackson let go of you and in a matter of seconds… everything went black!
“Fuck! I really can’t believe this is happening.” You could hear a voice not so familiar talking into the thin void between reality and your hardly conscious mind. You wanted to open your eyes, but your eyelids were heavy, and your body was senseless. You could feel something liquid and cold on your head, but you didn’t know what was that.
“Is she okay?” This person was certainly a girl. “Do you really know her?”
“Fuck, get lost. Yes, I know her so stop worrying about me and start looking for the ones who did this to her.”
You could understand all the words echoing around you, but you couldn’t bring your body to cooperate with your demands.
“I bet it was the same boys that were bothering me inside the club.”
“I hope not, I really hope it’s not it at all.” The boy said with a heavy sigh, and you were getting tired of listening to their short conversation, you felt like you were spying an intimate moment… but that was not the case, you just wanted to move yet you couldn’t.
Although listening to them was not nice, feeling yourself slipping away from reality was even worse. You were losing conscious again and nothing you did helped you break free from the awful sensation. You just let it take you in while you wished for the best.
“I don’t understand what is going on,” Jungkook shouted furious at his hyung. “Why is she like that? Who hurt her?”
“I don’t know, I can smell them on her… but I’m not sure, I didn't see anything. She was just there fallen on the floor when I left the club to go after them.”
“I’m definitely killing them this time. There’s no stopping me.” He left the small kitchen to walk past his hyungs to leave the house, but Hoseok stopped him on his track.
“Are you leaving her like this?” Hoseok’s voice was calm but dark and Jungkook felt something terrible burning inside his guts. How could looking at you so defenselessly, make him feel like dying? He barely had time with you, yet the feeling was so strong.
“Hyung!”
“Jungkook, she barely knows me or Yoongi, Jin isn’t here. Among us, you know her best.”
“I know!”
“Good!” Hoseok replied back.
“I’m going to get the first aid kit. Wait a minute!” Namjoon said and Yoongi got widened eyes at what his friend just said.
“Are you crazy? You know nothing about medical treatment.” Yoongi protested.
“Then what? Are we letting her bleed to death?” Namjoon retorted and Jungkook hissed, still looking at you.
“She’s not dying, she’s just got a bad hit. She’ll be fine after a couple of hours. Don’t forget that I gave her some morphine for us to have time to discuss what to say after she wakes up.” Hoseok spoke again.
“It’s not with her that I’m worried about the story we’ll have to say, it’s with Taehyung.” Jungkook finally meddled into the matter.
“We’ll figure something. Let her rest and let me call Seokjin to see what I can do to help her.”
After a couple of hours and a few stitches ㅡ that no doctor made ㅡ, you were still lying down on the couch of the huge living room.
Jungkook was looking at you with sad eyes and a worried wrinkle in the middle of his forehead. His knees were wide open and he was supporting his elbows on each leg. He was fidgeting his fingers while his head was running wild thinking about what had just happened... how would he explain to his friend that his little sister was hurt by someone who hated them? Taehyung wouldn't understand, and even if he did... Jungkook would have to tell the full story to him, and that wouldn't be good at all. He knew he should use this incident as a bridge to step away from you and Taehyung, but he was way too fond of his friend and he had this strange feeling pulling him to you all the time. He didn't quite understand why he felt that and what that was, but he knew he could not let you go. He had been going to your apartment to play games with your brother but with the utmost desire to see you again; and nobody had to know about that, but they probably did by now, after they saw the way Jungkook reacted when Yoongi entered the house with you unconscious in his arms.He saw you whining a bit and in a second his expression changed from a worried angry man to a worried bunny. His hopeful gaze was amusing to his hyungs who were talking nonstop while Jungkook stared at your sleeping figure for the last 4 hours; not even bothering himself trying to understand what the older ones were saying, only your safety mattered at this moment. "Hyung, I think she's waking up." "Yes, she is. It’s about time... Go get her some water, JK." Yoongi suggested and Jungkook pretended he didn't listen, there was no way he'd leave your side. "You do that, hyung." "He really is in the process." Namjoon said; "Wait until Jin hyung hears about it.""Never thought it would happen before me." Yoongi scoffed, not believing they were right. "He's now vulnerable." Hoseok sighed and looked away from the two of you, Jungkook, on the other hand, was still oblivious about the whole conversation, he was only paying attention to your limbs that were slowly starting to show a sign of life again. "Don't think about it that way, Hoseok. It won't be that bad. We know better now." Namjoon held Hoseok's shoulder, comforting his friend. "Yeah, I'm sorry I'm still bitter about that. The whole situation reminds me of the past that I hate." "We know." Both Namjoon and Yoongi said at the same time.
“Oh my god, my head hurts!” You talked for the first time after a few hours. “Oh my god!”
“Yeah, it probably does.” You heard a deep familiar voice speaking, but you couldn’t identify who it was since you still couldn’t open your eyes. You barely knew where you were, you only felt a very comfortable surface below you, you were really comfy and for that you were glad.
“Argh! What the hell… happened?” You were very confused and you heard someone else coughing from afar and it made you realized you weren’t at home, for sure.
“You’ll feel better soon, don’t worry.” And that voice you were certain you never heard before.
“Who is there?” You were a little alarmed, and you felt a hand touching your shoulder but you flinched away instantly.
“Hey, it’s okay. Nobody is going to hurt you. You’re safe and that was Hoseok hyung’s voice.”
After that sentence, you knew exactly who was talking to you and you somehow felt relief.
“Jungkook?” You tried opening your eyes slowly and when you did, you saw he was sitting on the coffee table right beside the couch.
“Yes.”
“What? How… I was walking in- What?” You were starting to get exasperated, but he got up and held your arms, helping you sit down completely.
“Easy.”
“I’m confused.”
“Oh, we bet,” Yoongi said and you looked around to see you were in their mansion and you got even more anxious because you weren’t supposed to be there. You were happily drinking coffee when those-
“Oh my god, those guys- I… what did they do? What in the world is going on?” You could feel your eyes getting watery and Jungkook sighed heavily before he sat down beside you. You didn’t feel uncomfortable when he held your hand very tight and whispered.
“I know it is confusing, I know you are scared but I need you to breathe and I need you to stay calm for your own health. Okay? Can you do that?” He was very convincing with his tone and choice of words, so you only nodded, looking again to the boys there. You knew Yoongi and you knew he was his cousin, but the other two boys you had never seen before.
As if reading your mind he introduced them to you. “Those two are Namjoon hyung and Hoseok hyung. Also family.” He smiled slightly trying to reassure you that everything was fine. You looked at the boys and both nodded to you without saying a word, but Yoongi being tired of standing up, walked past them and sat in front of you on the other couch.
“Okay. Mind telling me how in the world I ended up here?”
Jungkook didn’t flinch a muscle to answer you and you got confused, he only kept holding your hand very tight, even though you were starting to think it was weird to be touching his skin like that, something you’ve barely done before, you didn’t stop. It was soothing to have a ‘friend’ there. You already considered him that after all the past weeks he’s been practically living in your apartment.
“So…?” You asked, now facing Jungkook. But he just looked down to your hands intertwined.
“Huh, so… basically-”
“I told you to not call me that again.” The door opened with a thud startling everybody in the house, especially you, making you hold Jungkook’s hand tighter.
“Just shut up already, oh my god you didn’t stop complaining the whole way home.” You heard your brother’s voice and you started to feel terrified. You weren’t home, you didn’t know what time that was, you didn’t know how you got there either, so to resume… you were fucked.
“You don’t just tell me to shut up-” You heard a girl saying.
“Can you two shut the fuck up? I’m getting sober now and your voices are really annoying me.” And that one you knew was Jimin’s voice.
You looked to your side and you saw Jungkook was staring at you as if he could sense the panic you were feeling.
“It’s okay.” He whispered. “He’s going to understand.”
“To understand what? Not even I understand what is going on.” And before you could say anything else. You saw your brother’s figure paralyzed a few meters away from you two.
“What the actual fuck?” Was the only thing he could blunt out and you wanted to start explaining but you didn’t know how or where to begin with.
“So you’re saying you found my little sister on the floor in front of a club with her head opened?” Taehyung stared at Yoongi with a frown on his face. You could sense the madness emanating from his body by the way his shoulder muscles were tense through his thin white shirt.
“Yes!”
Taehyung sighed and closed his eyes.
“Did anyone touch her?”
“I don’t know, when I saw her she was already unconscious and I didn’t wait for explanations, I got her and took her here.”
“Thank you.”
“No problem, now if you excuse me… I need to go upstairs, I’m tired.”
“I think we all should go… Hoseok?” Namjoon spoke after Yoongi finished explaining things to your brother while you and Jungkook remained together and silent.
“Yes! Good night everybody.” Hoseok said; Yoongi, him and Namjoon got up from the couch and started walking.
“Jimin… Alice?” Hoseok asked. While Alice got up, Jimin just looked at Hoseok and his older cousin understood he was not leaving. Hoseok comprehended that his best friend was not out of control, but was very angry. Every single one inside the house could tell that.
“Good night, guys. Get well soon… uh? Your name?” Alice looked at you.
“Y/N.”
“Good luck, Y/N.” She smiled, not wanting to be rude, but already having a little bit of fun teasing Taehyung, which made Jungkook divert his eyes from you, warning the younger girl, so she quickly left.
“Hyung.” Jungkook was the first one to talk but was interrupted immediately by the older boy.
“Why are you both holding hands?” He didn’t look at you, but it made you aware of the action so you pulled away very fast, making Jungkook narrow his eyes.
“Hyung, I was just helping her, she was really nervous.”
“She should be.”
“Tae...” Jimin’s head was killing him, but he wanted to stay since he knew his best friend was overprotective about his little sister and the first thing he noticed when they arrived, were your hands intertwined so he understood Jungkook was even more fond of you, although he never acted on it or never talked about it to him or to somebody else. Jimin knew Taehyung never even imagined you and Jungkook were so close, despite him and Jimin trying to make you guys become friends.
“No! I told her, I fucking told her to stay home.” He sighed again.
“Yes, but it’s done already.” Jimin made the mistake to answer back.
“No, it’s not that simple.” He got up and started walking still not looking at you, he was frustrated and his hands found his strands of her every 3 seconds.
“Hey, taetae… I’m alright. My head hurts but it’s okay. Let’s go home so we can talk about it there.”
“I think you shouldn’t go through the stress of riding a car on these poor streets, it’s a long way until you arrive at your apartment.” Jungkook half whispered, trying to respect your brother’s frustration. He would be mad if he was him, in fact… he was mad, just not with you.
“Fuck!” Was the only thing Taehyung blurted out, still not looking at you.
“Uh, do you remember anything, Y/N?” Jimin decided to buy Taehyung some time to think and everything, so he decided he would talk to you.
“I remember buying my coffee, excusing myself and then leaving. I crossed the street and I bumped into some guys, I remember one of them was drunk and I don’t remember exactly why, but we started arguing and then I- I don’t know.”
“Did he touch you?” Taehyung asked, still looking everywhere but at you.
“I remember him grabbing my arm.”
Taehyung suddenly walked towards you with a few big steps, he had long legs so in a blink of an eye he reached you. He sat down next to you and you could see smoke coming out of his eyes, but when he touched your left arm, he touched it like it was broken. He examined it and then he got the other and did the same. He sighed and closed his eyes, glad he didn’t see any marks or bruises.
“You could’ve died. What were you trying to do? Were you trying to prove me I can’t order you around?”
“No!” You whispered, Jungkook frowned even more, but he didn’t have the guts to interfere in your conversation.
“You know you can do wherever whenever with whoever you want, but when I ASK you to not leave, you should listen to me. You were angry, you never pay attention when you are like that. When dad finds out… I’m-”
“You’re not telling him.”
“I need to take you to the hospital to take care of your head, do you think he won’t know? He’ll have to pay the hospital bills.” Taehyung raised his voice in frustration with your attitude. “He’ll know I failed.”
“You DIDN’T! Stop blaming yourself for something that is entirely my fault.”
“It’s not,” Jungkook spoke this time, making all the three of you look at him. “It was something nobody could predict, but it’s not your fault. It could happen in the middle of the day, it just happened. Hyung… I know you are worried but she needs to rest.”
“She can rest in the hospital.”
“I’m not going!”
“Tae, I think hyungs have taken good care of her.” This time it was Jimin. You all looked at him and he was already lying down on the comfortable couch, without his oxfords he wore during the night, and he seemed half asleep.
“She hit her head.”
“And I’m already fine.”
“Hyung, both of you should stay… just tonight.” Jungkook begged with his sweet tone of voice, and your heart skipped a bit though you thought was because of the anxiety starting to wake up after the conversation you had with your brother.
You knew very well why he was freaking out, you knew how your father put heavy weights down his shoulders to be your protector. You knew Taehyung was too afraid of losing you like you both lost his mother. You knew it all, and that’s why you didn’t fight back, at least… not this time.
“I want to go home, I’m getting anxious not remembering anything.” You spoke lowly.
“Let’s do it, as they say, Y/N. You’ll sleep with me, and you’re not leaving my side, ok?” Taehyung was calm now, you could feel it by the change of his voice.
“Ok.”
“Good! And don’t scare me again, especially when I’m drunk.” He kissed your forehead and you knew, at least for now… you were forgiven!
