Call me an ungracious player but if your Ranger never gets to use their favored terrain or enemy or your Sailor never gets to use a boat or everyone is conveniently immune to your Dragonborn’s breath weapon, maybe it’s not the player’s fault for “specializing too much”, maybe it’s on the DM for building a world where the players can’t have any fun.

theres so much fun new content (4 books, i missed 4 relatively major books), im probably going to rework a lot of my characters now that theres content available that suits them better.

(I am in particular super interested in the character options in Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft and The Wild Beyond the Witchlight)
