I remember reading Fahrenheit 451 in my final year of high school which was only four years ago and thinking:

'yeah I get it book burning is bad but this isn't a reflection of current society.'

I genuinely thought other things I had studied in English like V for Vendetta and 1984 were more accurate reflections of the current world than the book that is quite frankly fucking prophetic to the rise of censorship and complacency through forced streamlining of information.

Anyway as boring and confusing as I found the book I genuinely think it was the best thing my English teacher got us to read.

I hate to say it but I'm starting to see a Lawson and Daki ship.

They escape Janix with Rylee and Devon and grow close over their shared love for their children as they continue to evade the empires growing control whilst also fighting back in any way they can. Daki helping reassure Lawson when he is feeling overwhelmed and scared. Lawson sharing his knowledge of back roots and the underground societies where the empire hasn't reached yet.

Just two dads becoming close and maybe realising that they're allowed to love again.

Every time I'm watching new star wars lore be created I'm constantly reminded that this is an extension of a very restricted and narrow base story.

Like if we had known about the abuse and neglect that Maul went through, the tragedy he faced at the hands of his master and the empire, I would've been so okay with him then going on to kill Sidious.

But NOOOOOO ANAKIN KILLS HIM CAUSE THE MOVIES CAME FIRST AND NOW MAUL HAS TO DIE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT WITHOUT EVEN EVER GETTING TO SEE THE FALL OF SIDIOUS WAAAAAAAAAAAAA
