Tommy never knew how much he liked to be the little spoon until Buck.
I think most partners always had him as the big spoon because of his size, but when he started dating Buck (a guy of similar built), he slowly let go and gave in to being held, realising he loves it.
(plus I think Buck never questioned holding Tommy since he was already used to doing it with women)
Ohhhhhhh ā¤ļø I am smaller than my husband and I prefer to be the big spoon so š¤
For Tommy it's not only a question of size at first. He is manly, he is everyone's fantasy, he is cool and confident so of course he is the big spoon. It's his role, and even if he grew out of his father's macho ideas he still believes in the fact that he HAS to be the protector. And holding Evan in his arms is part of this role.
But Evan is an octopus you know, long limbs always moving. He is clingy in all the best ways. The first time he becomes the big spoon is unspoken. They are in bed, side by side, and in just a few movements Tommy finds himself on his side, Evan on his back, arms and legs almost rolled around him. It feels immediately right. It's not the fact that he feels safe per day, even though a part of it is.
When Evan is the big spoon he is EVERYWHERE. He touches and climbs and grabs and suddenly there is not a single space between them. Tommy loves it, he loves this proximity he never really had, he loves this presence, the fact that someone wants to hold him this much while asleep. But he won't ask for it, not for a few more months. Only wishes in silence, turning his back to Evan hoping it will inspire the younger one to come and trap him. It works of course, because Evan can't and won't accept a night without Tommy against his skin.
One night after a bad shift they go to bed together, Evan's head on his chest. And Tommy craves the sensation of Evan everywhere around him. So he asks, small voice still loud in the silence of their bedroom. Evan is more than happy to oblige, koala bear hugging his mom. Now Tommy can't sleep right if they don't spend at least 10 minutes in bed like this, just hugging and feeling the other one. And it's like 10 minutes in heaven.
Send me more cute headcanon about them and I'll yap about it! ā¤ļø

Today's Republican Christians would accuse migrant Jesus of eating pets and taunt his teen mother with 'your body, my choice'.
They would wear 'I can't breathe' shirts to the crucifixion.

"Natalia," Bobby parrots blankly. It's very unlike him.
"I mean, I know we haven't been together long. I don't expect her to be here. But we- we probably had plans. I don't want her to- to think I ghosted her."
Bobby leans forward in his chair. "Buck, what's the last thing you remember?"
Buck's stomach does a flip. "Why."
