This is the end card of chat blanc episode.

To me, this ep was good to establish a theory.

If they reveal their identities on the wrong way, things will go bad.

In chat blanc ep, Adrien accidentally knew that ladybug is Marinette and they became a couple. Being a couple leaded to Gabriel's misdeed. ( making Mari and Adrien cry, akumatizing chat, chaos and danger in Paris, complex time change, and so on). Consequently, a relationship between ladybug and chat didn't developed at all! Not having a memory of their identities.

So.... secret identities reveal must be done by them on purpose. not *accidentally*. There would be a proper time to reveal their identities. Also, after the reveal, they have to prevent showing the fact that they are loving each other in a normal life. If they don't do it, Gabriel will know what's going on and his misdeed will happen again. In this situation, we can expect to see being just-a -friend in school but not when mari and Adrien are only two of them. 🤔
