my general opinion on what people should be "allowed" to portray and what topics they should be "allowed" to explore in fiction is that you can make whatever art with whatever themes you want but i'm also allowed to think the way you handled it was tasteless and should've been done differently. my negative opinion on your handling of sensitive topics is the price of admission for publicly showcasing your work. this is not a pro-censorship stance because i am not The Government

I'm gonna say something about IDW Prowl and I need you all to bare with me and be nice cause its been a while since I read the comics

Ahem

I do not like how Prowl is given several story beats within the IDW comics that can be read as an allegory for SA and then all the characters around him are constantly making fun of him and blaming him for it

There is an entire scene of Magnus blaming him for Chromedome attacking him and I did not like it when I was younger and I still do not like it now that I have sat on the story a bit longer

I do not like how victim blamey it comes across and I do not like how it feels like its framing what happens to him within the story as fine and "deserved" just because hes an asshole
