WEI WUXIAN IS NOT (ALWAYS) THE GOOD GUY. in universe, he deviates from the right path and invents demonic cultivation. he can be ruthless and cruel. he has invented a number of objects of "evil" to use to manipulate ghosts and corpses. he takes revenge on those who oppose him. his method of cultivation changes his psyche so he is more irritable and aggressive. his gray morality is a central part of his character. please refer to the muse info post and headcanons/meta tag for more information.
POTENTIALLY TRIGGERING CONTENT will likely appear here, including but not limited to: horror themes, death, blood, dismemberment, mutilation, gore, torture, trauma, ghosts/ghouls/corpses/other malicious creatures, manipulation (of corpse puppets), parental death. these themes are present in the source material. i will tag triggers upon request.

my wei wuxian is mainly novel-based, but incorporates various bits from the adaptations, there are parts of the novel that i really love have chosen to include, and some not. i choose what to emphasize, vs not in terms of canon. feel free to ask about anything regarding canon compliance vs headcanons. wei wuxian is also multi-verse, meaning i will write him in crossovers and alternative universes upon request.
please note that the inclusion of canon events is in flux (i add and take away from canon how i see best fit for my portrayal and this is always up to my discretion).
if you are only (or mostly) familiar with one adaptation (e.g., donghua, cdrama, etc.), worry not! i can adjust WWX's timeline/events/canon relationships accordingly.

THIS BLOG IS SELECTIVE when it comes to AUs, OCs, and pre-established relationships. please ask/plot these with me first, especially if your OC involves mine in any way. i reserve the right to refuse to write certain content with any particular muse for my comfort. that being said, i'm generally open to starting something new in a new AU!
LENGTH. i write anything from one-liners, to para / multi-para, to novella. these days, i am most likely to respond to threads that are ~300 words or less more quickly due to how my brain works. that being said, i believe in letting the thread take us wherever it takes us! don't worry about matching my length, (so long as it's not something like responding to 3 paragraphs with one line, LOL because i WILL cry.)
SPEED. i am the slowest. i am an extremely casual, sporadic writer. my muse can be very picky, and may go weeks doing the bare minimum rp-wise… only to post 20 times in one day. if you suspect that i have missed a reply, please let me know! (however, persistently asking will make things awkward for both of us.) a gentle nudge is appreciated!

SHIPPING (romantically) is not the main purpose of this blog, but may be explored under certain circumstances (re: chemistry). i will not ship anything uncomf (e.g., with family members). multi-ship and multi-verse. however, i am selective with shipping duplicates, especially with OCs. please note, if i do ship duplicates, i will reserve all AUs, plots, and headcanons that we create together for just your muse and not write them with a duplicate of your muse.
SHIP EXCLUSIVES/MAINS. at this time, i will do shipping exclusives with friends only. this means i will only romantically ship with one and only one version of this muse, both ways. nothing personal, just sometimes my muse is vibing with one person’s muse so much to the point we become very much attached. :’) i will write with other version of that muse, just limited to non-romantic interactions. a full ship exclusives list is below.
Exception to ship exclusives: For WangXian, because there are so many avenues to explore, and each portrayal of LWJ and WWX is different, I won't be exclusives for this ship. Instead, I write each WangXian ship in its own verse. This is just my preference!
