REBLOG RARE POSITIVE GORDON
“…Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was destroyed early Wednesday morning in what looks to be a Tinseltown first.”

reblog in less than 30 seconds for good luck
Your job in heaven is to look after the pets whose owners have not arrived yet. It’s your first day
NOTE: Just wrote this on Instagram, am re-posting here.
By the end of the first week in heaven, most of the animals owners had arrived. However, there was one dog. He waited, day in, day out for his master to come. And everyday, he’d trot up to me and ask the same question: “Am I a good boy?” I’d smile. “Of course you are, Buddy!” But as the days turned to weeks and the weeks to months, Buddy became more discouraged. I too began to wonder where the poor dogs master was. So I went to God. He flipped through the roll and couldn’t find Buddy’s owner anywhere.
I walked to where Buddy lay under a tree, the cooling shade playing on his soft, golden coat. He had his eyes closed, head resting on the fresh grass.
“I know why my master isn’t here.” He said out of the blue. “He wasn’t a good boy.” I lay down next to Buddy. “What do you mean?” I asked. He continued. “He killed the little good boy. His little good boy. So I bit him. Again. And again. Until he stopped moving. Then the people with nets and guns showed up and they pointed one at me and then I was here.”
We lay silent for quite some time. Slow tears rolled down my cheeks. The lump in my throat made it difficult to talk, but I managed to say the words.
“Buddy, you’re the goodest boy there is.”
*cries*
It wasn’t long after that when we found the little boy. He was with the children whose parents hadn’t arrived yet. There were bright faced kids running around, excited to be full of energy and life again. But one boy sat by himself, sad and still, and I knew that it was him. After a few minutes talking to the guardian looking after these children, some whose parents would be there soon, some whose parents wouldn’t come at all, I learned the boy would play with the others, but he wouldn’t speak.
Difficulty adjusting was common enough for murder cases, the guardian said, but so hard to see in small children.
Buddy recognized the boy right away and sprinted toward him. The boy looked up with wide eyes and threw his arms around Buddy’s neck. The embrace seemed to last forever, but before I knew it, the pair leaped up and began to play.
Without a word, it was decided. The two good boys were each other’s now.
I know I’ve already reblogged this
But the addition deserves attention too
My heart… The addition makes it even better!
reblog the Don Draper of getting a job he’s unqualified for and you’ll have 10 years of getting jobs you’re unqualified for
You’re doing great :))
The louder you are in the ER waiting room, the more the staff is convinced that you are not having an emergency.
I mean it. You’re getting the attention you think you want, all eyes on you. Except ours. “Isn’t there anything you can do?” Your fellow waiters ask us, concerned. Behind the triage window, you can’t hear our teeth grinding. You’re in pain, i understand that. This might even be the worst pain you’ve ever felt. But you’re probably not dying.
Dying isn’t loud. A patient having a heart attack does not scream and thrash and gasp for air. It’s a whisper, a tightness, with slow flexing fingers. A stroke happens in a fraction of an instant, and never makes any sound. More whispers, halves of sentences and muscles that don’t quite match up anymore, a puppet with a few of the strings cut. Alarmed and wandering eyes, maybe, but never yelling. Or the more common killers, infections that shut down organs or the pipes of blood that sever. Cardiac or respiratory failure. If a person can talk they are, in fact, breathing just fine.
Remember this, the next time you come to an emergency department. Remember this when you’re sitting in the waiting room, while a sleepy-looking person in a wheelchair is whisked away without a word.
I’ve been on both sides of the fence on this one. Working in the ER and being a patient. And the fact of the matter is no one can really tell how much pain you feel. One day I got brought into the ER in an ambulance with abdominal pain. I’m an EMT mind you, I hate going to the ER unless I have to. Felt like something from the Aliens movies was trying to get out of my stomach. Got assessed in triage and the pain passed. And then It came back with a vengence. Honest to God 10 out of 10. And I tried to be civil and ask the nurses if I could get moved back just so I could get something for the pain. I got the eye roll, the looks of disbelief, and told to wait. I tried walking away, my knees gave out and I landed on all fours. In the ER. And I screamed. It was the worst pain ever. They tried to put me back in a wheelchair. The movement made the pain worse. It wasn’t until the charge nurse said that I was making a scene that they took me back to an exam room. I sat there for 5 minutes waiting on my nurse. It got hard to breath. It took another 5 minutes for them to get me pain killers and an x-ray. My entire upper abdomen from my diaphragm to my belly button was full of air. My stomach had ruptured and was leaking into all of my abdomen. I was rushed to emergency abdominal surgery and was going into shock when I made it to the OR. 5 more minutes and I would have been dead. I tried to “suffer in silence and with dignity”. It almost got me killed. You don’t get to decide if people are in pain or not just by looking at them. You’re human. Not a CT scanner.
Reblog for this comment
I rear ended a car at 16 and slammed on breaks & ended up shattering EVERY bone in my right foot & snapping my ankle in half. Later, the specialists said it was the worst foot break they have ever seen. When the ambulance dropped me off at the hospital, strapped to a stretcher, they wheeled me into the break room and left me there for 30 minutes.
They left a child in the nurses break room for 30 minutes with no explanation. Just wheeled me in there and left me crying my eyes out surrounded by people playing angry birds on their phones.
When I finally saw a nurse she gave me TYLENOL and told me to go home with my mom because my foot was “a little swollen”. They wrapped it in gauze. They were mad because I was making so much noise but my foot literally felt like it was on fire.
YOU CANNOT DECIDE HOW MUCH PAIN SOMEONE IS IN!!!!
Seriously, it’s shitty shitty shitty attitudes like OP’s that make me terrified of ever having to go to the ER.
Y'all have a hard job, I know and appreciate that, but y'all can also be jaded, heartless sons of bitches and it’s seriously ill and suffering patients who pick up the tab on that.
Hello friends, as someone who is currently in school to be a medical professional, I’d like to share something with you about my fellow premed/med students:
Whenever I am in a class of premed students, the professor will inevitably ask us to share what we want to improve in the profession, what we want our focus of progress to be.
They always expect us to say things like finding better cancer treatments or improved surgery methods or things like that, but that is never, and I mean NEVER what students say.
The professors are always shocked when students always, without fail, answer that they want to work on removing injustice, prejudice, mistreatment from the system.
We are a generation of people who have had our fair share of time in the emergency room after police violence, in front of a doctor begging for access to hormones, at a nurses station screaming about abnormal excessive bleeding and ovarian pain, crying on the phone with paramedics because our friends have knives held to their wrists, and had the medical professionals rationalize our pain away, tell us we’re overreacting, tell us we’re being dramatic, that they know better than we do, that it can’t possibly be that bad because look at us, we couldn’t possibly experience pain like that so young, how could we?
Except we can, and we have, and we do, and we don’t get the immediate care we desperately need because current medical professionals are biased against people’s age, color, sexuality, gender, because they look at someone different than them and think “they don’t feel pain like I do”.
My generation of doctors, nurses, paramedics? We’ve experienced that. We’ve been on the receiving end of that biased mistreatment more times than we can count.
And we’re gonna change it.
I like the sound of this. Please don’t lose your empathy.
Hey also keep in mind if you’re transported via ambulance the emt or medic must stay with you until a sheet that they transferred care of the patient (you) to someone of equal or higher training. If someone does not sign off and you are left by your ambulance crew not in the care of somebody else that’s abandonment! This is stressed so much in EMT school that it should never happen so know your rights and stay safe!

how do u actually save bees?
Plant bee-friendly flowers
Support your local beekeepers
Set up bee hotels for solitary bees
If you see a lethargic bee feed it sugar water
Spread awareness of the importance off bees
+Don’t eat honey✌🏻
NO.
That will not help save the bees at all. They need the excess honey removed from their hives. That’s the beekeepers entire livelihood.
Seriously refusing to eat honey is one of those well-meaning but ultimately terrible ideas. The bees make way too much honey and need it out in order to thrive (not being funny but that was literally a side effect in Bee Movie). Plus that’s the only way for the beekeepers to make the money they need to keep the bees healthy. Do not stop eating honey because somebody on Tumblr told you too.
excess honey, if not removed, can ferment and poison the bees. even if it doesn’t, it attracts animals and other insects which can hurt the bees or even damage the hive. why vegans think letting bees stew in their own drippings is ‘cruelty-free’ is beyond me. >:[
the fact that we find honey yummy and nutritious is part of why we keep bees, true, but the truth is we mostly keep them to pollinate our crops. the vegetable crops you seem to imagine would still magically sustain us if we stopped cultivating bees.
and when you get right down to it… domestic bees aren’t confined in any way. if they wanted to fly away, they could, and would. they come back to the wood frame hives humans build because those are nice places to nest.
so pretending domestic bees have it worse than wild bees is just the most childish kind of anthropomorphizing.
If anything, man-made hives are MORE suitable for bees to live in because we have mathematically determined their optimal living space and conditions, and can control them better in our hives. We also can treat them for diseases and pests much easier than we could if they were living in, say, a tree.
Tl;dr for all of this: eating honey saves the bees from themselves, and keeping them in man-made hives is good for them.
✌️✌️✌️
Plus, buying honey supports bee owners, which helps them maintain the hives, and if they get more money they can buy more hives, which means more bees!
hey if ur reading this and ur in a bad spot mentally or anything i hope u feel better soon and have a good day
what she says: i’m fine
what she means: the tv show iCarly always portrayed Spencer as some bumbling idiot after dropping out of law school after three days, but they disregard the fact that this means Spencer did in fact finish college with a degree and knew enough about the law to pass his entrance exams and had good enough grades in his classes to be accepted into a law school therefore the image that they portrayed of him being stupid is false, he was simply a man who realized his passion lied elsewhere and he wasn’t going to pay a tuition for a law school studying that when his heart wasn’t in it. he was a smart man with the knowledge and capability to do anything, and he chose his art
That’s a weird dragon.
shut up i love her
