Man I hate it when people use the pronoun “you” as a singular pronoun in an informal setting. “You” is plural, unless thou dost speak to an unfamiliar person. The correct singular second person pronoun is “thou” in most cases. Grammar never changes. Pronouns must always stay one way until the end of time. Learn thy proper English. *sigh* Kids these days.
If thou this mistake shouldst make on thine own blog, then know, villain, that thou art a dirty descriptivist, and no friend of mine. Ne'er should language itself alter, it doth remain fixèd as such, untouch’d by change. Wouldst thou, vile descriptivist, that we forget the heritage of our great tongue? Nay, say I. Thou art but a dickhead who sayest so.

Conservatives: Let's go back to the good old times of the 1950s.
1950s: Had 92% income tax for the mega wealthy which allowed for households with a single breadwinner. Had minimum wage high enough to get somebody through college.
Conservatives: No... not that part. The sexism and racism part is the one I like...

Due to technical difficulties, etc., I am retiring this tumblr blog (and maybe deleting it; I haven’t decided) and starting a new one. If you want to know where the new one is and I know you in some way, message me. There’s not much there yet, and it will most likely have some hockey on it when all is said and done, but hopefully I’ll have some new functionality and can reply and stuff!
Stop & Go Traffic Game
When I am stuck in stop-and-go traffic, I play a game. The game is called “see how long I can go without hitting my brakes” and involves driving really, really slowly -- slow enough that when the car ahead of me stops, I can keep rolling along and never catch up to them. Theoretically, if I never hit my brakes, the car behind me never has to hit them either, and neither does the car behind them, and soon enough one lane of traffic will all be moving at a steady pace instead of being stuck in a traffic jam. The traffic jam is gone then! Yippee!
I say theoretically, because it never works out that way.
- People see the open lane in front of you and come in from every direction to jump in front on you, forcing you to stop your car. It’s almost funny to watch this happen. They’re just so excited to see some road!
- The person behind you continues the “rush ahead; slam brakes” style of driving, even though they could easily match your 3-5 mph pace, which is still better than everyone else’s 15, 0, 15, 0 mph pace.
- The person behind you honks their horn, finds a space to get in front of you, speeds up to fill the gap you’ve carefully cultivated between yourself and the next car ahead, and then slams their brakes, because being all of one car length ahead of you is crucial to their personal happiness. Or maybe because they have to demonstrate their preferred method of being stuck in traffic. This game doesn’t have points, but I’m pretty sure you get points for that.
So anyway that is the game, and it makes you way more zen about traffic jams, so everyone should play.
My hobbies include sharing weird/disgusting nature facts with the people I love

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
for your follower prompt thing, if you want: Cas with either a whale, a shark, or an elephant? :D
Shark it is, because I love sharks. I had so much fun drawing this!
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt...
... Is awesome. It is an awesome show. Kimmy is a great character, because she is Disney Princess sunshine-sparkle bright, but her painful backstory and related trauma keep her from being cloying or stupid. I really enjoyed her.
The theme song, however, is an earworm sprung from the depths of hell.
So I can't be the only one here to watch Äkta människor...
i.e., the Swedish robot show.
I liked it! Mostly the first season. The second season went a bit too nuts for me. The defenders of Hubot Battle Land were funny, I guess, and I enjoy that the hubots are out to destroy all humans and/or assimilate them. Normally that kind of thing makes me wary, but at least all the non-Niska and non-Bea hubots seem harmless, so the hate group stuff is not quite as cringy as it was on True Blood, imo. And this apparently started as a human's plan.
But the second season's pacing was kinda whaaaaat, especially with Flash's story. She meets Douglas. He immediately finds out she's a hubot. They immediately get married. She immediately kidnaps a baby. They immediately buy said baby. Gordon immediately kills Douglas. I'm also not sure why the hubot affirmation makes Gordon so much more violent than it did Mimi. I assume all David's Children have past lives as humans, but maybe not? Sometimes I feel like individual scenes worked better than the narrative they were a part of, which is likely a credit to the actors.
Also, Odi is my favorite. Long live Odi.
So does anyone know any good tutorials for Corel Painter? I've scribbled around in it, but it's not terribly intuitive, I don't think! It's much easier to figure out how RL brushes and pencils will behave!
snickfic replied to your post “My mom was trying to tell me about a show my brother likes. "It’s...”
LOLOL. I mean, from what I saw I don't think that description is inaccurate?
It's not! But at no point did she indicate that this was a comedy! I was impressed that she managed to describe a favorite show of mine in a way that it made it completely unrecognizable. "Crime family," lol. :)
My mom was trying to tell me about a show my brother likes.
"It's this father in this crime family and he goes to jail, and the rest of his family tries to run the business without him. And he's dating his secretary, who's in on it. And the one son doesn't want them to be criminals anymore."
She was describing Arrested Development.
I’ve recently started and am all caught up on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Holt with puppies is the greatest thing to have ever happened IMO.
