My arms don’t bruise often for some reason, but this one time we did a big women’s self defense event and my arms happened to be super bruised with nice, big, dark bruises. All the ladies were wide-eyed, “Was that from Jiu Jitsu?” Haha, yeah, but you’ll be fine.

i have a friend who got injured the day after she got two black eyes. all of this was from bjj, but her husband refused to walk next to her in stores. when she went to the doctor for her injuries, they actually sent her kids out of the room to talk to her about it. she had to show them competition footage before they believed her lol
