Fan art for @ilovegt's work, as usual.
Man, I’m such a sucker for that classic trope… you know, the "super gentle giant who's always careful with their strength and movements so they don't hurt the little guy."
But out of all of them, the giants who don't just treat Borrowers like little animals—gripping or pinching them—but instead show actual respect through "gentlemanly" body language… like kneeling to show submission or shaking their hand properly like an equal… yeah, I seriously love that.
Knowing he could do whatever he wanted with just a tiny bit of force in his fingertips, yet he chooses to be so careful and treat him like a fellow human being? The kindness and acceptance is just… ugh, it's peak. It's the best.
So yeah, a giant doing a hand-kiss to a tiny person? That's literally my jam.
It’s like "Favorite Thing A" x "Favorite Thing B," so naturally, I had to draw my two faves doing it.
I mean, honestly, Trevor is usually way more straightforward and earnest with his feelings. He might act a bit playful or show off sometimes, but he’s probably not quite this cheesy… but whatever, I wanted to see it, so I drew it.
The line art is analog pen again, just like my last fan art. Colors are digital. I scanned it, extracted the lines, and colored it, then slapped a paper texture on top because I really wanted that sketchbook vibe.
I guess it would’ve looked more cohesive if I’d used actual analog paints too, but man… knowing there’s no "undo" button makes me so nervous while drawing. By the time I finished the lines, I was already exhausted. I just didn't have the guts or the energy to tackle watercolors after that…
But hey, I had fun, so it’s all good.
