Gideon|| Frank|| Offer One Can't Refuse
Frank was able to calm down considerably as Gideon explained what was going on. Now that the little git was fully clothed, Frank relaxed a bit. His guard was still up, but at least now the worst seemed to be over and Frank could listen to what was going on. The part about Bane drooling over a Hufflepuff was new though. He’d have to ask about that one later. Sometime when Gideon wasn’t around. With a roll of his eyes, Frank muttered, “Sure sounds great,” just before Gideon grabbed his hand. As soon as they were out in the hallway, Frank reclaimed his hand. He’d had quite enough physical contact for one evening. Following behind Gideon, Frank wondered how it was even possible for someone to both prance and remain stealthy. It seemed to be one of Gideon’s talents. And, well, if it got them through the halls without getting caught, Frank wasn’t about to complain.
When they stopped, Frank knew it was at one of those secret passages that the twins seemed to have permanently etched the locations of in their brains. He tried for a moment to remember where this one was supposed to lead, but he couldn’t. No use really thinking about it, he’d find out in a little while. Frank almost felt bad for James. Gid seemed to mean business with this. But at the same time, James probably deserved at least half of it. “And what exactly is your surprise?” Frank asked, following Gideon into the passage. It wasn’t roomy and Frank had to stoop in order to get anywhere. Secret passageways were quite useful, but couldn’t they have made it a bit more… well a bit more comfortable to use? What’s the use in a secret passage if you have to break your back getting through it?
"Well I don't want to ruin it for you...I'll give you a hint, mate. What do fireworks, dung, and gingers have in common? ...Potter!"
The pair continued their sojourn through the passage. Several spider webs blocked their path till Gideon slashed them away nonverbally with his wand. After a span of about seven minutes, the gryffindor pushed against a wall. It gave away, and the two boys toppled onto the ground. They rolled a few feet as they did the wall sprung back up. Gideon stood first brushing himself off. Cranking his neck he looked around. They were on the grounds of Hogwarts a little ways from the greenhouses. Luscious grass reached to about their ankles. A rabbit glared at them before darting into a bush. Returning his attention back to Frank, "Oi! Get up...So the first thing I need your help with is some way to keep potter in this area -gestures over to a small meadow directly behind the greenhouse.- not indefinitely...just long enough for a surprise. I don't need my quarry escaping."
Gideon emitted a maniacal laugh. He of course was being overdramatic. Potter would rue the day he challenged the ginger, if he remembered it. Though the prankster would never truly harm the marauder...harm his ego, yes...but physical harm was not Gideon's forte.
