Frederic Michalak chases down a kick from France's replacement scrum half Maxime Machanaud, then decides to tackle Scotland fullback Stuart Hogg rather than the ball carrier. After hitting Hogg off the ball, Michalak punches him repeatedly while the two lock horns before their teammates drag them apart. Michalak was not shown a card as the incident occurred behind the back of referee Nigel Owens. Nor was he cited by the Six Nations independent commissioner, according to scotsman.com. Michalak went on to kick three penalties for points in the ten minutes following the fight.

By request: A kick from Ireland's Conor Murray was caught in contact by Italy scrum half Edoardo Gori. The ruling on the field was that the Irish players were going for the ball when they made contact; scrum to Italy. Gori was checked out by the medics and returned to play.
