i realize i regularly post notes about my lack of activity, but this one is going to be a bit different.

i've decided i'm very unlikely to return to tumblr roleplay in the near future, and will be officially retiring this blog.

this is a very bittersweet decision, and i realize i've been on hiatus so long it doesn't make much difference, but i'd rather make a final, official notice.

over the years i've made lots of friends and had some excellent memories, and i wouldn't give those up for the world. but after a lot of time away, thought, and discussion, i realize that running a blog isn't conducive to my health. i'm not in the physical condition i was when i started this blog and i just don't have the capacity to be here, and sadly that isn't changing as time goes on. furthermore, i've realized that where i'm at mentally just isn't stable enough to be here and there's some parts of the social atmosphere here that just impacts me far too much. some of it's on me, some of it is general tumblr rpc issues, but overall it's in my best interests to make a clean break and leave this part of my life behind me, rather than always stressing about trying to come back.

as always, i'm happy to give my discord if you want to keep talking or plotting there. whatever threads or plots we've had here, please know i probably think about them often and hold them very dear to me. i wish everyone the absolute best and i'll miss sending asks to everyone. please take care and keep having fun here!

im trying to sort out what i wanna do about my tumblr situation because frankly, the tagging system on this blog has been greatly frustrating me ever since tumblr broke it and i'm thinking it might be finally time for a remake after all these years. i'm debating if i want to try one more time at a multifandom multi and just try to keep it more lowkey.

regardless, i'll keep pondering and try to figure out how to make tumblr comfy for me again! until then, love u all !!

it's not without issue, of course. it's mostly for show, to avoid being too memorable as the strange man without an arm. she does a lot of activities much slower now, and much more spare time is spent on maintenance and cleaning to avoid infections. her nerves in that shoulder area are absolutely haywire, which can be both a blessing and a curse.

Does Fyodor tend to fixate on anyone he sees as more powerful than him? I’d love to know more about his religious fixations.

it's... not necessarily that simple.

i would say power is more often a turn off to him. they're the kind of people he takes the greatest pleasure in manipulating. and usually, the easier someone is to manipulate, the more boring they are and less likely they are to impress him.

arahabaki is the only one who is, in every sense, more powerful than him that fyodor admires, and that's because in resurrection verse, he has fully replaced his christian faith with following ara. so all piety has pretty much just been transferred over and onto a new icon.

as for his other people he's fixed on (dazai, chuuya, nikolai, edgar, and jono), he either considers them his equals or lesser than him, and his attraction is based largely on the difference in how they treat him or how interesting/unique their temperament is.

Very gentle reminder that your self worth doesn’t depend on how often you’re on here, nor does your value as a writing partner. You’re awesome, your writing is incredible, and if real life circumstances such as a busy life or even a disability get in the way then you take time to do what you gotta and then come back and kick your drafts’ ass when you can. They aren’t going anywhere! The people that love your blog and know you will understand, since they’ve all got different things going on too.

i admittedly do have a lot of stress around it cuz i have had a lot of instances of friends and writing partners giving up on me after long absences, but really it just makes me that much more appreciative of the ones that don't! so it is a really big thanks to them (including you anon!) that i keep coming back instead of giving up for good. it's frustrating living like this but i cannot be stopped from menacing forever

on a scale of one to ten, where would tetcho rate himself on general life/household skills?

tetcho would rate himself a solid 10/10. he thinks he is a fabulous chef, master checkbook balancer, and enemy of dust bunnies.

anyone who lives with him would tell you he's a 5 at best. what he does clean is spotless but he misses a lot of spots, his finances are passable because he rarely shops at all, but when he does it's very rarely thought out and on sheer impulse / "i think i need this."

and we all know about his cooking.

everyone knows that demons don't die. they may go away for some time but they will always, always come back. dazai is no stranger to demons. he was one himself, once, and knows how crafty they can be. they know when to come out of the shadows, to make themselves known at the most opportune time when the object of their possession is at their weakest.

that moment is now.

" and here i thought my heart is what you would want intact. " a smile curls over bloody lips as the detective gazes up at his demon, back from the shadows dazai thought he had left behind. the ground is cold, the rain washing his blood away in pink rivulets down his skin. but he isn't fooling anyone. that precious heart is pounding with excitement in his chest. the world isn't boring as long as fyodor is in it.

the cold aches at where his prosthetic attaches, but fyodor barely notices it. he steps through the puddles like oceans parted, each step slowed to savor this moment.

pulse pounds through his flesh, like a tremor that starts an earthquake as he kneels before dazai, broken and bloodied just as fyodor likes him when they're standing opposed. the blood can stain him either way, fyodor simply isn't picky on if it's his own or someone else's.

he reaches out to touch dazai's chin, drinking in the feeling of their abilities embracing like the old, reluctant lovers they are, and smiles as he tilts his face up.
