hi everyone!!!

i promise i’m not dead and i’m not abandoning this blog at all. ;w; you’re all incredible and i’m happy to write with such a loving fandom. this is just a sort of semi-hiatus notification, between my cousin still in the hospital and working part time it’s a lot for me to juggle more than one blog. i’ll still be around and will probably reply to things as the muse comes to me but activity will be relatively low on this blog until further notice!!

“Yeah, I’ve noticed this is place is the watering hole for surgeons that want to drown their sorrows, or surgeons that want to celebrate and play darts, there’s no inbetween, unless trying to chat someone up.” Sarah chuckled, which was exactly what Mark had tried to do the first time he saw her in here, but she turned him down. And that wasn’t the last time. 

“Oh, I’m fairly used to the rain, I grew up in London all my life, we have to have sunglasses in one hand and an umbrella in the other just in case.” She chuckled, she did miss being in London but being around Mark was worth it. She hadn’t met someone like him in a LONG time, if ever. Yes, there were stories about him, she knew he was the player of Seattle, which was why it took her so long to actually accept his date requests. “I’m getting used to it though, it’s a bit different to the other places I’ve lived, mainly being away from everyone. But I’ll get used to that, I’m the road again soon.” She shrugged, that would be another test to her and Mark’s relationship, would they last when she wasn’t in the country, let alone the city or state.

Meredith listened, her gaze moving between the woman beside her and the drinks that Joe had placed in front of them. Without thinking the blonde let her fingers curl around the glass and slugging it back before placing the lime in her mouth. She let her blue eyes return to the other as she sucked on the lime for a few more moments before smiling. 

“Have you played a lot of shows in the U.S.?”

Meredith wondered what that life would be like. Playing shows all around the world and being on the open road. She also couldn’t help but consider it’s consequences... What would Mark think of it when she left for her tour? It was no secret he was promiscuous and she couldn’t help but think how that could pull at the others relationship. Meredith kept these thoughts to herself, knowing that it wasn’t any of her business but she was curious to see how this one would play out.

The shots they took were thrown back violently as if to show non­existent people that they meant business.

“Meredith!” Lexie announced, stamping the nearly empty bottle on the coffee table to emphasise her point. “We are sisters, we are sisters who are dating McDippy and McSleazy. The Grey sisters who run from men who want futures with them. I mean am I right or am I right?” the room was moving on her but she still felt pretty damn good in her tequila haze.

Mind moving a mile a minute, fast enough to make the room spin in an almost delightful way, the blonde couldn’t help but laugh at her sisters words even though they sounded far and a bit distant. Maybe that last shot wasn’t a good idea but what did she care? She wanted the moment to stand still before the two had to go back to waking realities.

“Want to hear something funny? Derek wants to marry me! Me, of all people! How do we get ourselves into these situations, Lexie?”
