Thought I could avoid running a big HDMI cable across my room by... Using the old pc I've got in storage and hadn't gotten around to gutting

Like, it works? The OS was kinda melting a bit but it WORKS? And maybe when valve get Nvidia drivers on steamOS, that wouldn't matter?

It just about fit on the TV stand, and I spend some time wrangling in all the cables

.... And it doesn't turn on 😞

I don't remember screwing with the cables, I just took out the extra hard drives.

And I just cannot be bothered to try and work this out in a limited amount of space

So I guess that idea is bust and we're just back to wanting to beat Sam Altman with hammers ( ouo)b

Well, after 4 years of living in a flat i.... finally have a dispute with a neighbour, i guess 🙃

The person living 2 floors above me has decided to put some plant pots on their juliet balcony

... And they are watering the bloody things twice a day.

So im getting a twice daily shower of dirty water :)

Its not even like a little dribble of excess water. I noticed it yesterday because i thought it was raining. Then i noticed the second watering because again, my window looked like it had been rained on!

I cleaned it off my windows yesterday, and now after this mornings watering theyre already Disgusting again

I brought a half parasol to try and shade my window, to stop the sun getting in, and its filthy now. Its been up three days. I keep having to lower it just to try and minimise the amount of dirty water it gets covered in I couldnt have my door open for cooling until the drips stopped, because its coming into my home.

I dont know who this person is. Ive never seen them. Ive never talked to them. But theyre dirtying up MY home? And i'm going to have to probably leave a note on their door saying "hey, please stop watering these so much - you are creating way too much run off, and i would rather not have dirty water drop on my home every day"

But in the mean time, ive asked the housing association for the tenancy agreement, because I cant seem to find my copy. I know theres some rules on what you can or cannot put in the windows, because I remember political leaflets were outright banned. I want to see if "plant pots on the railing outside your home" is one of the banned things.

And, like, i know im pushing the rules with the parasol. Which is why i dont want to report them for having plants outside. Like, i get it! Its pretty! Its also probably the only thing that person can do which may have a passive cooling effect! And I clearly want to push the rules too!!

But man, could you be at least a little more considerate with your water use? And not cover my home with dirty water twice a day?? 🙃🙃

Your plants dont need to be swimming in water, they just need to have damp soil... most of the water youre putting on them is just getting dumped on ME

because i cannot be arsed to get back into westeros when i have been waiting over a decade for a book that i dont think will ever come out. Like, just no interest in getting reinvested until I know the damn story is either finished, or Dead And Buried in its current unfinished state

But i still get to see the bits of the series I would enjoy the most - the pretty CGI dragons doing dragon stuff ( o.o)b

I’m not super proud of how this turned out but after 11 hours I finally finished it!! One of these days I’ll get better at drawing environments and backgrounds
