“Just a bit old.” Ali let out a snort. “He suppose to be dead by now, but I guess having The Cure still in his system has somewhat helped.” Ali grimaced slightly that she was glad no one hasnt taken the cure from her father, but she has come to accept when her father will died as a human not as a vampire. Ali smiled gently her sister when she accepted their new close relationship. “Yes, I suppose you do deserve it after all.”

“Yeah, I think cause he hasn’t been bitten by anyone, the Cure hangs around in his blood till he dies normally. Lucky for me, I get to enjoy having dad around too.” Stefanie chuckled, she knew how her parents returned to human form, but could only assume the rest from stories that her Aunt Caroline told. “Would you tell me things? Like, if I thought of things to ask and mom and dad won’t tell me, would you answer them for me? I don’t even know the story of how my parents fell in love because it was when they were vampires. All I know is that Stefan had something to do with it.”

Dad certainly can’t do it anymore.” Ali grinned, before her smile frowned when Stefanie asked her about why Damon and Elena wanted to keep her little sister out of the supernatural world. “I don’t know why we were not close. But we can start now if you want?” Ali said, a little pleading in her tone. “Yes, I was there, but I think they don’t want you involve in what had happened to them.”

“Yeah, well I guess someone does. This family is pretty different to a generic family now, isn’t it? Yeah, he’s getting just a bit old now isn’t he?” Stefanie laughed slightly, she felt somewhat jealous, Ali knew her parents as vampires before they took the cure. Now, Stefanie was getting them as they grew old and died on her. “I’d like to, I want to be close to you. I don’t want this separation between us, even if we are only half-sisters, there is still blood keeping us together. But I want to know, Auntie Caroline is a vampire, Auntie Bonnie is a witch, Uncle Jeremy is a hunter. I deserve to know about this stuff.”

Well thats good to know.” Ali gave out a sigh of relief that her little sister would not be mad her parents. “Stefanie, I honestly do not care if you are human or a vampire, you are my sister and thats all I care about.”

“I’m glad you’re my guardian angel.” She was truthful, Stefanie did always have a yearning to be closer to her sister, she wanted to be closer to her. She felt as if there was a bit of a separation and she wanted to close the gap. “Then why aren’t we close, Ali? And, do you know why mom and dad keep the supernatural world away from me? I mean, they never let me ask questions, I just want to know about their pasts. You were there.”

“Wait, when?” Stefanie sat there looking up at her half-sister, tilting her head as she put her fork down, ready to listen to Ali as she turned properly, giving the blonde all her attention. “So you look after me like a Peter Pan slash Edward Cullen stalker type? But asked?” She asked softly as she crossed her legs, resting against the back of the chair. “I’d never want to hurt you, I mean, you are my sister after all.”

Sitting on her daughter’s bed, Elena knew that she had to draw the dreaded mother card. As the clocked flashed 2am, she wondered as to when her daughter would be sneaking back in. Finally, she watched as her unaware daughter climbed through the window.

“You forget that i’m a light sleeper, Stefanie.”

Stefanie continued to climb her way through her bedroom window, she didn’t forget that her mother was the lightest of sleepers but she couldn’t tell her, she could never tell her mother that she wanted to sneak out to spy on her cousins, her aunt, anything supernatural just to get more information out of anyone and everything, she was the most curious Salvatore of them all. “I didn’t, I just, I couldn’t tell you. Can we let this go? The whole, sneaking in late thing? I’m home, I’m safe, I’m alive and still human.”

The teenager sat across from the other female, crossing her legs as she shook her head. “Not really, not unless you want to make sure the words vampire and hybrids or tribrids need to stay as hidden as possible.” Stefanie smiled as she tucked some hair behind her ear, cracking her neck as she tilted it to the side. “How do you do it? Hope, you have it all under control, I don’t know how to do it. I need help. You’re the only one around who understands what it’s like.”

“Yes, a stupid thought indeed.” Ali said, leaning against the door frame and watched her younger half-sister eating her dinner. “Am I not allowed to visit my family?” She drawled, staring at Stefanie. “Now, I feel hurt.” She pouted slightly.

“You’ve never come over here before when dad wasn’t around.” Stefanie was curious as to why Ali decided to show up unannounced, her eyes stayed glued to her food, gobbling it down as she rested her head on her fist. “I didn’t mean to hurt you, Ali. It’s just well, we never really have gotten along, why now all of a sudden?”
