Being reassured certainly eased Elena, although she did appreciate the rush of energy she was feeling, it reminded her of the days before all of the chaos. The innocence she once had. “Duh”, she responded, feeling silly. Sneaking around the corner she lightly tiptoed into a classroom. Prank night was always one of Elena’s favourite town events so she definitely wanted to do this right. Turning to Hayley giggling, she pulled out 2 bottles, one of maple syrup and another of sugar. “Let’s do this.”

“Just some girl who will just bring pointless drama into your life.” Jughead replies, technically it’s not a lie but it’s also not the truth either. They all walk down a hall to the common room “we all have a free now so let’s all chill in the common room maybe Veronica will be there.”

Pointless drama. Now that is something Elena did not need. Pleased that her new found friends could recognise petty teenage behaviour, the weight of being the new girl slowly began to rise. To be honest, she was finding it hard to keep up with all the names. There was Jughead whom she was very fond of; Betty, who was pure and authentic, and now Veronica. “More friends.” She proclaimed excitedly. “I was so terrified that I was going to be practically invisible today.”
