Underwater Ballet, Anne Ten Donkelaar
Dutch artist and product designer Anne ten Donkelaar arranges and photographs flowers underwater, thus capturing a “silent image of a spirited dance.”
In this series, titled Underwater Ballet, the artist’s floral “ballerinas” dance and seemingly float around in still waters. They dreamily pose and sway, thoroughly hypnotizing us all. This stunning picture is just a glimpse of ten Donkelaar’s magical reality.

Beetlejuice (1988) dir. Tim Burton
There’s this weird ass patriarchial mindset that comes into play re: Jon Snow being a Targaryen, as if who his biological father is what determines what his identity and surname should be. Jon is technically just as much a Stark as Ned’s trueborn children (50%!), was raised alongside them in the same way, embraced their values and their religion, etc. Yet it’s his biological father, a man he never knew or met, that is taking precedence in some fans’ minds over the man who literally raised him, Ned Stark. This mindset accompanies this sort of anti-bastard rhetoric as if being born out of wedlock is just The Most Terrible Thing and some sort of taint that Jon deserves to have scrubbed clean to make room for his brand new last name. If by this point you have not realized that being something stigmatized yet out of someone’s control like bastardy and physical disabilities is not what determines a person’s worth then you have definitely missed the point of Jon’s, Tyrion’s, and Bran’s respective stories.
