Solo dress with tights?

Help! My TC wants me to wear tights with my solo dress next weekend at the Feis but idk how I feel about it? They match my dress because my dress is black with pink accents but I feel like it’s more of an adults/teams thing, and my age group is 15&O? Any thoughts?

I love tights! I don’t think they’ll affect your scores and they look nice on stage

I wore tights with my dress for awhile (&overs open solos) and there’s a girl at my school who is prelim U16 that wears tights and we both placed while wearing them. Our dresses are/were mostly black with color accents and we both have lighter hair. I think there are both positives and negatives to wearing tights in solos. Positives: 1. You don’t have to tan (personally my fav perk) 2. “Having the look” is important to some judges and if your TC thinks they’ll go well with your dress it can be the thing that makes your whole look come together and makes you stand out 3. They can give the illusion of longer legs (whole idea behind white tape) Negatives: 1. Gaps between your legs can be emphasized 2. Your feet/legs can be lost if the backdrop is dark/lighting isn’t good 3. They can age you, but that’s something your TC is going to have to see once you’re on stage and it might not be a bad thing in their opinion I think you should try it! Wear them at the next feis and see what your TC says and how they look on stage! You can always go back to socks, but I think it’s worth trying! @gilllauren

Shuffle/treble Mid-Atlantic And we have a teacher that comes up from his school in southern region And he calls them Rally’s

I’m from the Mid-Atlantic region and we use both rally and treble - rally for slow and treble for the quicker beats
