We need to talk about pupils
So there’s this whole discussion about Kit’s and Emilia’s pupils during the boatsex scene. Granted, they are huge, but I was never convinced cause the lighting is awfully low, and to me, that’s the reason why their pupils are so huge in that scene. But then I was watching Jon and Dany first meeting in episode 3 and something really caught my attention:

In this scene, we have way better conditions to make a fair comparation
1. The set is filled with way more light than it was during boatsex
2. Peter and Liam are positioned similarly to Kit and Emilia, and they stare in the same directions, under the same light conditions
Disclaimer: I’m not a Kimilia shipper. I had my moments after the Golden Globes (cause they look nearly sinful together, admit it lol) but I actually love their friendship (sometimes, tho… idk, fuck, it’s complicated)
Anyway, I was watching the scene and what really caught me off guard was: Kit and Emilia have abnormally large pupils if we compare with Liam and Peter. But the best part is: EMILIA’S PUPILS SHRINK WHEN HER EYES GO FROM KIT TO LIAM. It’s freaky, cause Liam and Kit are standing side by side, so there’s no light difference. It happens right when Liam says “all those hard sons of bitches”. Reminder: I have no deep knowledge when it comes to eyes and how they work, so if someone knows the explanation for this, please educate me.
But okay, here are some screenshots comparing all the pupils. I brightned all of them so Kit’s could be more visible. First we have Peter looking at Kit:

That’s a huge difference to me lol. I tried to capture Emilia’s pupils changing size but it’s too fast and subtle. So I encorage you guys to watch it (in 1080p and in a screen bigger than a phone, please) and see for yourselves.
And please, I’m not trying to offend Kit’s relationship with this post. I just think after this scene, I’m starting to believe that pupil conspiracy during boatsex lol (but I still think in that case it was mainly about the lack of light). In this scene we might have a low lighting set as well (still better than the boat), but we also have close ups of Liam and Peter, and their pupils seem fine, while Kit’s and Emilia’s seem huge. I mean, we can’t blame them for unconsciously finding each other atractive, cause well, they fucking are. Any pupil would respond like theirs and not to be dramatic, I think mine would actually explode.
