anyway this is an oc for one of the things im currently working on. her name is princess caspian (princess being a temporary title cuz idk what im actually gonna call it) and i love her

you know what i love about writing for sanders sides? you can make it as realistic as you want or as jacked up as you want. cause the series is both realistic fiction but also somehow fantasy, but it works???

you wanna make it so the sides can’t die? cool! maybe their injuries don’t last, or maybe they do. it’s up to you- they’re fucking imaginary. you wanna make them domestic? cool- maybe they live their lives as close to how a human lives as possible! or maybe they could disregard the laws of matter and physics and constantly fuck with everything. it’s up to you, and that creative freedom to write whatever the hell you want and make it as weird or realistic as you want without having to make an au??? amazing

maybe roman and remus share a room. or maybe they don’t. does the imagination exist? well now it does. or maybe it doesn’t. does logan have a entire fucking space ceiling for some reason? or is his room minimalistic and close to a human room? does patton use stretchy arms to hug everyone all at once? or does he try to keep it realistic? does virgil’s eyeshadow actually get darker depending on how anxious he gets? or is it stylistic choice? does janus have any more snake qualities? or is it just his face?

any of these could be completely canon without having to make an entirely new au, and i think that’s super sexy

yes!! when we only see a portion of the canon universe, we get to create our own internal logic and our own background info for the rest of it! it gives us so much room for exploration and interpretation, and in my opinion, that’s one of my favorite parts of writing for this series.

please god stop stigmatizing hallmarks of neurodivergent behavior as “red flags” for bad friends.

I mean stuff like:

Oversharing (ADHD)

“secretly” copying the way you talk/dress/act (common for everyone, but many neurodivergent people who are affected socially)

Forgetting to pause and ask about you (ADHD, autism, social anxiety)

Failure to convey empathy or affection in a way you understand (autism, social anxiety, many many others)

Unhappiness (Depression, also friends don’t have to perform happiness wtf)

Talk “too much” (ADHD, social anxiety, so many more)

Fussy (really?)

Refuse to open up (really??)
