Hey, everybody that follows me. i haven’t been on here very long, but fyi I’m deleting tumblr right now. It was nice to meet some people on here and stuff and I was doing this just to get a taste of the internet community, but I think it’s time I left. There are things that I want to do in my life right now that I can’t complete without a lot of dedication and time (writing a book and school), and tumblr has been eating away a lot of that. I have some friends on here who I will miss, but I think it’s all for the best. Best wishes to you, but don’t expect to see me blogging here in the first morning of 2017. XO, I’m out.

Reblogging this version for the translation! I also wanted to say since I saw a lot of people concerned about it in the comments that I did some research and it seems that Stepa lost his teeth naturally and did not have them pulled out by his owners. For one thing when they rescued him he was so sick that his teeth were apparently black and in horrible shape, and for another thing he is very old, at least 23 years while bears only live to be 25 (source here). His family has also said in multiple interviews that he has never bitten them and I don’t think they would bring that up if he never had any teeth to begin with (example here [bonus: this interview includes cute pictures of him playing with his family]). If you google image search “Stepan the bear” you can even find some older pictures of him from before all of his teeth fell out. Just thought I’d let everyone know so we can all enjoy these cute videos without worrying that that he’s been mistreated!

Naomi Ellis and her her husband Seth spent Friday morning — the morning after the sixth night of Hanukkah — trying to explain to their three young sons why someone had vandalized the menorah the family had put out on their yard by twisting the metal pieces into the shape of a swastika.

The Ellis family had only built the 7-foot-tall menorah on the front lawn of their home in Chandler, Arizona, because their sons, ages 5, 7 and 9, had asked their parents if the family could decorate their home like the neighbors did for Christmas, the Washington Post reported. Read more.
