May Parker said that with great power comes great responsibility.
May Parker also said that your greatest responsibility is remembering that you’re not alone, that the people who love you love you because you are you. That you need to remember to let people in, let people help you, even when it’s the hardest possible thing in the world.
Because with great power comes great responsibility.
something about brand new home that i don't see a lot of people talking about is how they deal with humanity. a large part of the story is about peter and how he thinks he's a monster. how damage control sees jean and her sister as objects, weapons to be studied and then sacrificed for "the greater good". how bruce is treated post hulk crash out even though it wasn't his fault, but the hulk is an inhuman monster so of COURSE he's in a psych ward. it tells you that we can have these notions about who is human and who is not; about what is human and what is not. but ultimately, we cannot deny someone's humanity. and it's not the biggest part of the movie, but banner's words about "what's the good and what's the bad" really ties into the whole thing about who's human and who's not.
Got obsessed with the dynamic of these losers
Spider-Man Brand New Day was such a fun movie, man
my friend bruce banner getting sent to a mental hospital because someone else forced him to hulk out doesn’t sit right with me. that’s my friend guys.. he didn’t mean it
the punisher this, jean grey that, idc about all that DID THEY PUT BRUCE ON A PSYCH HOLD? after he worked so hard to better his life?? him asking immediately if he hurt anyone 😭
this inside shot of peter is so poetic because the world remembers spider-man but peter parker is forgotten by people he loves and "trapped" inside the mask where people will never truly see peter
Spiderman fans when Peter is all fucked up hitting the rock bottom
Spider eyes 🥺
Spider-Man: Brand New Day said it'll be hard and it'll be ugly and you'll essentially feel like it's so over but in the end love will save your soul and friendship and hope will prevail and we're so back and millions of teenagers worldwide said hell fucking yeah

Spiders have three life cycles. When between cycles, it can leave the spider vulnerable to threats. And for those spiders who make it through, it amounts to a kind of... rebirth. SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY In Theaters Now | dir. Destin Daniel Cretton
the scene when peter leaves the hospital made me tear up because its such a stark contrast to the way people acted towards spiderman/peter in no way home and yet he can‘t fully bask in the praise and adoration so he’s left to stand there in disbelief because he knows that this is all conditional to his continued anonymity
spiderman brand new day and the importance of care. mj not loving peter due to not knowing him, but still caring about him enough to invite him up, to draw him, to send frank to watch him, to give him advice and be concerned. ned not remembering what spiderman means to him, but trying to find him anyway to thank him. frank worrying about this kid who is determined to save everybody he possibly could. peter caring about jean grey, taking a bullet for her despite almost all his interactions with her being antagonistic, because she exists, and she deserves so much better. jean crying over peter getting shot, because he was kind and promised to be there for her and made good on that promise immediately, even though she ended up there because of him. new york and their care for spidey.
peter parker and his care for everybody- his family, his friends, people he has never met, people who have continually tried to hurt him.
spiderman: brand new day and the importance of care of any kind.
real situations they put peter parker into #grateful
