I identify as girlflux, going from full on girl to demigirl to nonbinary. I use mainly she/her pronouns, but switch to they/them when I feel more gender neutral

I know everyone talks about it, but non-sexual intimacy is truly amazing.

I want to be someone that you can trust, someone you can look up to when you’re having a bad day. A loving shelter from the heat of the world, someone whose arms you can melt into at the end of the night.

I want to be your nurturing guide. I can be stern, baby, but I’ll always have a soft spot in my heart for you. I will always be there for you, especially when you need me the most.

I want to take care of you, and I love the feeling of being trusted and valued enough to do just that.

In a way, being able to take care of and nurture you makes me feel more at ease. I need that.

I was talking today with a fellow asexual who has been struggling with their sexuality and how it ties in with sexual trauma, and how they feel broken in relationships with allosexuals.

I just want to say, truly, to any asexual out there who feels broken or like they have to 'perform' for an allosexual partner:

You are worth more than putting yourself in such an uncomfortable position for someone - if you are not enthusiastic about it, you don't have to 'put up' with it. You deserve to live a life completely sexless, if you so choose, and your relationship does not mean you are beholden to owe your partner something.

I recently learned an old French euphemism for bisexuality. It means to be powered "by sail and steam," and it absolutely comes from a specific flavor of 19th-century ship.
