2nd round of the league and another win for da boyz!

Game was pretty much decided after the first 2 rounds, opponent was running the drop pod detachment and started the first round putting a squad of 5 assault intercessors and 5 hellblasters right into the center objective, torching my wartrakk before he even had a chance to play. Damn beekees, ruining all my fun.

The crackback was intense though, hellblasters were nuked pretty much instantly after a round of shooting and charge by my smaller boyz mob but because of the rules of the league, we both got some relics and skills for our units, which character only skills being put on all units in the squad. These goddamn intercessors got a +1 wound, +1 armor save, and +1 toughness EACH! I had 5 terminators in my backline with the movement of assault intercessors and for basically no cost.

It took several rounds of shooting from both the battlewagon and my 20 stack of boyz + weirdboy but finally they got brought down on my waaagh! Turn, the grot on the back of my warboss getting the final and most satisfying hit, taking down my absolute most rueful foe.

All I had to worry about now was a unit of jump pack intercessors with the new jump chaplain, I knew blood angels could do some nutty damage with those so I took the chance on teleporting my huge boyz stack into their backline and getting the necessary charge.

With a failed charge and a command Reroll I was able to make it in and blow all but the chaplain to chunks, severely hampering the damage they could deal on the next turn and locking up the game as there was now no anti-armor he had to chew through my untouched mega armor units who could easily clean up the remaining badly damaged vanvets and decimated intercessors squads with their single chaplain.

I was also securing a bevy of points thanks to my little grots spreading across the board and eating up objectives for free as I knew they didn't have anything in reserves to surprise me.

After hundreds of rounds of dakka fired and the combined fury of mekanized chopping, the boyz come out on top with all but one objective being secured pretty cleanly with nothing but a good number of boyz and the wartrakk lost on my end. Great game and great opponent, I think smaller games are really good for my development here. 2000pt games are really just not doing it for me.

Super happy with how this one turned out, you can kind of see in the back in what used to be a little honey pot my fiancé gave me (oh btw I got engaged last week) I mixed a batch of the pink just how I like it so I can base coat consistently throughout my army. Really helped in this process not having to stop to mix every 5 minutes

I won my first game! It was the 500 pt escalation game against another ork player!

Having my boss in a transport and shred a wartrike to death with his meganobz after the battlewagon exploded is super evocative to me. Decided to go with a turn 1 waaagh to just dive directly into the enemy backline and stuff their speedwaaagh turn.

Gork blessed me for my brutal play and I rolled hot as hell, had to leave a little early but I won because my army was battle ready and my opponent's wasn't it would have been 25 - 27 but my bonus got me to 35 - 37!
