She would be disgusted by slimes and wouldn't understand how Claire and Olive became so fascinated by something so strange. She wouldn't like iPads for the same reasons she doesn't like televisions. She would love the new board games, but she would get easily annoyed playing cards like UNO.

OH MY GOD I JUST SOLVED THE PECULIAR CHILDREN PLOT HOLE PROBLEM

The story is told in first person. Jacob is the narrator. It is regularly established that Jacob is mentally ill and horribly traumatized. What if his real acute stress hallucinations were mishearing and misseeing things? For example, Jacob says Julius looked around eighteen, but anyone with eyes can look at the portrait of him and determine he looks more like a teenager. And Enoch's two birthdays: the calendar isn't narrated by Jacob, so that could be Enoch's real birthday while the one mentioned in Hollow City was just an auditory hallucination? Same thing could explain Claire claiming to have been looped in Cairnholm for eighty years in CotB when. Again. You can just use a calculator and determine that 2011-1940=71.

This could even fix the typos that Ransom's horrendous editing team left in. How did Horace spit bees in LoS? He didn't. How was Addison in two places at once in CotB? He wasn't. Jacob is just an unreliable narrator.

I fucking did it. I cracked it. The answer was right in front of me and I finally figured it out. Ransom can make as many typos as he wants now and we can just say "cool Jacob's psychotic" and never think about it again.

things I'd like to see if Ransom ever decides to make a third trilogy

In an interview from after DoDA came out, Ransom mentions that it's not out of the question he might make a third trilogy. If this does in fact happen, there's certain things I feel like need to happen at this point or else we'll all just be really sad.

-More character development for Claire and Noor. Claire doesn't appear much and Noor's good development got stunted the second she and Jacob became a thing. -Jacob learning how to create Soul Jars and having slight hollow traits as part of him for the rest of his life (eg. black blood or sharper teeth). Now that there aren't anymore hollows, his peculiarity would need to focus on other things. -Jacob and Ricky reuniting! Ricky only appearing in two books was truly a tragedy. -An exploration of what Peculiardom is like in Canada, Latin America, and Oceania. The series mainly focuses on Europe, the second trilogy dives a bit into the US specifically, and Museum of Wonders implies European Peculiardom is very similar to that in Asia and Africa. But what about the rest of the world? There's a Polynesian door (I forget to where specifically) in the Panloopticon briefly mentioned in LoS, and Emma sends Jacob a photo of two Peculiar girls from Latin America at the end of the same book, but that's it. I'd love to know more. -No new love interest PLEASE make Jacob take a break from dating for a bit. He's better as friends with both Noor and Emma anyway. -Emma getting therapy -More exploration into how Lily+Millard and Horace+Juliace would work as relationships. Hopefully they'd be better than whatever Jacob's love life is lol -An story behind Syndrisoft and other aspects of modern Peculiardom. -Pereckoo yuri I mean a deep dive into their friendship -Millard getting a degree from online university (and letting his friends do his makeup whenever a professor makes him turn his camera on) -What happens to American Peculiardom now that the gang leaders have no power over them?

Finals are DONE!! I’ve literally dreamed of this moment for months…well, mainly because I leave for France tomorrow. WHEW!

The first concept art class I’ve ever taken really kicked my butt.  But I learned so much.  Our theme for this semester were designs for The Book Thief (our own movie version).  In here are character designs for Death and Liesel, layout designs for the Hermann’s library, and a story moment of the dying American pilot.  Beautiful book, and a pleasure to use as inspiration.  A lot of these I’m not satisfied with so I hope I get the chance this summer to make them better.

“Safety”

I’m definitely not the best at drawing backgrounds or environments. But ever since describing Safety I really wanted to at least attempt to draw it. So here it is! This pretty low effort. I didn’t use a horizon line and eyeballed everything. Little annoyed it still took 3-ish hours

I also had no plans to doodle in all the kids, but I did anyway. Don’t really know why. I really like Mono over on the right there, he is so bean shaped. So much little guy energy
