âhmm â iâm not really sure yet. how do i know you donât do this to every girl you meet? .â she asked the guy with a grin, cocking her head to the side. she knew he was sincere â she could tell by the way he looked at her but for some reason the blue haired girl loved to tease. something weird happened to her when he wrapped his arm around her shoulder and started walking her down the street. she wanted people to see them â she wanted them to think âgod damn, thatâs a hot looking couple.â gigi really enjoyed the cold air as they walked with no destination in mind. when he started throwing names at her she couldnât help but laugh, shrugging her shoulders. âjulia. did you forget your girlfriendâs name?â a faked scoff escaped her lips, followed by a laugh, placing a cigarette between her lips, Â shivers running down her spine whenever she felt his hand move over her shoulder. â julia.. maybe thatâs a little posh, hm?â she giggled, lighting the cigarette and taking a deep hit, enjoying the feeling of the smoke curling around inside of her lungs before exhaling the toxic air into the dark void in front of them. everything was so fucking relaxed in that moment â if she could freeze the hands of time she totally would. she wanted to walk forever. Â the girl turned her head to face him, placing her cigarette between his lips. âyouâre sexy.â she stated with a giggle, watching him closely. âjust throwing that out there. you look like a fucking rockstar, man.â
august let out a laugh âwell, for starters, i donât really meet girls much, so there -- or at least not the way we met, so thereâs that too.â he smiled down at her. it seemed like forever ago, the whole âiâm tired and depressed and muselessâ meeting the âiâm tired and worn out and iâm about to kill my bossâ. it even seemed like a dream, and this was was their reality. a reality of them acting like a couple in love heading somewhere august thought would be impressive. he knew the place well, so he let his feet guide him while his thoughts and senses were focused on his âgirlfriend?â he chuckled, and licked his lips, nodding at the ground. âwell, my girlfriend has a really nice name. suits her perfectly.â there was no way in hell her name was julia, that he knew. but he went along with it. like he said, anything she wants to be, heâll appreciate.heâll love her with all her masks. âwho says iâm not a rockstar?â he joked, slightly blushing at the compliment. âyouâre even sexier.â he whispered in her ear. âthe kind of babe this rockstar would go mad over.â  august took a turn and walked into an alley -- a shortcut he knew -- passing by the homeless and sketchy, he pulled her closer to him, glaring and looking away, feeling a sudden surge of protectiveness go through him, no one was going to harm her, or them. no one is going to touch what they have for the night. it took them seconds to finally come out of the darkness of that alley and into the lights and passing cars of the streets ahead, he slid his arm from around her shoulder and his hand found hers, âcâmon.â he felt giddy all of a sudden, recognizing the building in front of them, rushing her across the street and into the back of the building, he pulled out a key from his pocket -- he changed his mind about coming here two seconds before the waves of blue and beautiful surged and came crashing down into his life, making him rethink his whole night through -- unlocking the door, he hastily pulled the girl in, and went to open the lights. facing what seemed to be a wall, he gently walked her around it, the florescent lights on the ground and on the ceiling flickering open one by one. his eyes were glued at her, waiting for her expressions to shift and change, waiting for her lips to say something against the calmness of an art gallery, walls white and pictures of tired figures and faded colors. âso,â he stood beside her, his bottom lip tucked under his teeth. âwhat do you think?â
