I’m gonna be honest: what’s the literal Point of being a spellcaster if you never get a bit where you’re levitating and your eyes are glowing and wind from nowhere is whipping your hair and clothes about (mostly back, in a suitably dramatic way), and there’s a strange light about you and fire/lightning/power crackling, growing in your hands, and you say something authoritative and righteous in a slightly echoing voice and then blast someone

Me: because sometimes i think about how lonely Anders is and how much he’s been hurt and how deep the wounds run and how desperately, heart-wrenchingly, overwhelmingly he loves Hawke and how for one blissful moment at the end of Act 2 he could have had it all, everything he ever wanted, a lover who adored him and safety from the templars and a decent meal and a home and a life if he just gave up but he chose to sacrifice everything he had, his life his love his safety his freedom because he knew nobody else could, because he knew nobody else would, and it worked because no matter what u do the world changes for the better for mages and all it took was Anders setting his own heart afire to fuel the blaze, and i don't think of it so much as a depressing downward spiral but rather a brutal and bloody struggle my Hawke willingly undertakes at Anders's side partially for love and partially because it is the right thing to do, and they'll never have safety and they'll never have security but they have each other and *clenches fist* they're changing Thedas and I love them both, my brave, bold revolutionaries

You can just, not like things. It doesn’t have to be cause the thing is morally wrong somehow. It can just be cause it’s not your taste in things. You can dislike things that aren’t “problematic”. You just can’t go running around demanding other people stop liking it.
