Local Lens: Reflections of Singapore’s Changing Cityscape

“The places I can go are limited,” says Instagrammer Yafiq Yusman (@_yafiqyusman_) of his tiny island-nation home of Singapore, “but the photo possibilities are limitless.”

Yafiq, who studied architecture in college, enjoys capturing Singapore’s rapidly evolving urban landscape through puddles left by the city’s tropical climate. “Singapore is a modernized country, but there are still places where you can see the olden days,” says Yafiq. “The alleys in Little India, China Town and Boat Quay are a few of my favorite spots and great for puddle shots.”

For more modern photo opportunities, Yafiq favors Raffles Place, a square surrounded by the city’s tallest buildings. And for those seeking respite from Singapore’s fast-paced metropolis, he suggests tracking down a hidden reserve called Punggol Beach. “The best time to visit is during the sunset. It’s beautiful.”

Fatcow downgrading account guide

Today, I decided to downgrade one of my account hosted in Fatcow to try other hosting services.

If you wish to downgrade just follow the steps given below:

1. Log into the control panel with your account username and password.

2. Click on ‘Account Renewal’ under ‘Account Information’.

3. Select the option ‘Downgrade to Domain Parking Account’ and click on 'Submit'.

4. It will ask for the confirmation. Click on the ‘Downgrade Account’ button.

5. Select the reason for the downgrade and click on 'Continue'.

6. You will be offered special offers. If you wish to accept the offer, click on 'Activate Special Offer', otherwise click on 'Downgrade'. Make sure to accept Terms of Service.

jqTransform ‘Select’ Problem z-index 10

I was working on a project now which required a customized form and I used jqTransform to customize it and while working on it I noticed that the two dropdown (see screenshot below) overlaps each select boxes. The dropdowns appearing below other select boxes.

So here is a very simple solution to manipulate it.

Jqtransform applies z-index values to select dropdowns reason it overlaps the select box below. To fix the problem I amend the jqtransform code and remove the zIndex attribute.

And now it works
