I truly don't think people take Michael having similarities to William far enough and personally its why I prefer Michael being healed from Remnant post-scoop
Like,, he's meant to look nearly IDENTICAL to William. Imagine him older, coming home late exhausted, and he looks in the mirror and scares the shit out of himself because he looks exactly like how William used to look coming home from work.
I want him to look so similar to William that old Fazbear employees double take upon seeing him. I want HENRY to double take and stumble over his words, nearly calling him Will.
Imagine Michael zoning out as he's doing something, and when he zones back in he realizes he's doing something William used to do too. Like maybe he's idly humming an old Fazbear commercial jingle as he's, idk, cooking, and he suddenly remembers being a kid and hearing William hum as he did the dishes, and Michael immediately stops humming, tense the rest of the day.
Or maybe Michael realizes he even SMELLS like the bastard, because he's been managing Freddy Fazbears Pizza Place and working on the animatronics so he smells like oil and pizza grease.
Michael has a lot of things that make him different from William, of course; but there's a lot that make him similar to his father. And i love the idea of that extending past his looks, so maybe sometimes he acts a bit like William, or sounds like him.
Maybe after a long time, though, he probably gets used to it? Maybe he gains some confidence that he's not like his father, however similar they may be. Michael isn't a sadistic scumbag like William, and he never will be, so do the similarities really matter?
Both it haunting him and then Michael growing to no longer care is so fun to me. I mean, 30+ whole YEARS pass since he was scooped. Thats a long ass time, and its entirely possible Michael heals some in that timeframe. Enough to know that no, he's not William, and he'll never be like him.
But uggghhhhh I love Michael being his dad's mini-me, to the point where it freaks out Henry. Its so fun
