This will be my final post here in this blog. My journey is now complete and I am back in Stockholm, Sweden. I have been traveling for exactly 30 weeks and 1 day and it has been amazing.

At Maokong flowers start to blossom in January

I really do not like how the Taiwanese government plan things. The entire city lacks infrastructure and they only seem to solve the problems by how little that they have to do in the present. It is simply an easy solution to the problem at hand and they think nothing more of the future ahead.

A clear example are the roads that are built for cars. They do not think about anything else and simply build a road for cars and forget about the pedestrians - it's genius. 

Another clear example is this picture, do I need to say more?

Took this picture through the glass of the gondola, so it might be a bit blurry. Otherwise I am quite satisfied with it. Enjoy!

I will really miss Taiwan. It is so different from Sweden and I am really happy that I chose it over mainland China.

I do not feel as stressed as I did during the midterms which is great. Hannes and I have been able to pack all our things in one day and it looks like everything will fit.

Went to Maokong today since neither Hannes and I have been there. We were hoping to see the cherry blossom, but there were only a few petals in bloom. Although, I spotted a lot of bugs who were looking for special places to build their cocoons on the branches, so here are some pictures of caterpillars. 

We are very stressed since we have a lot of things to do. Although we only have three exams this coming week we still have to: say goodbye to all our friends, study, clean the whole apartment, pack our luggage and also do all the things left in Taipei that we have yet not done.

I love photographing right before and during the golden hour, it creates such beautiful shadows and/or highlights things so beautifully. So, in this picture I told my friend to position the camera so I knew that the sun would hit the back of my head, highlighting my black hair to turn brown. I also love the bokeh effect, so to be able to capture bokeh and in the same time make me look sharp I set the aperture to f/4. Enjoy!

Imagine that the tunnel to the left in the picture is built for buses, imagine how small the bus would look in this picture, how small we humans are next to these gigantic mountains, how insignificant we are in this beautiful gorge.

I will forever remember this place as a mark of Taiwan's beauty and sorrow.

I just love Taroko National Park, this is my second time there (went down this weekend again) and I just love the tranquility from the park and the nicest local people living there. I will truly miss this beautiful place when I go back to Sweden in 3 weeks.

Went to Nikko, a small town two hours with train from Tokyo. It was clearly their low season since everything was so calm and quiet. We ended our short visit with a bath at an onsen (hot spring) which was truly a great way to end our little trip.

Went to a park in Ueno, Tokyo and saw a lot of old men standing and feeding birds. They were so nice and gave me some bread. The birds flocked around my hand, and for a brief moment I felt like Snow White.
