I donât even know why Iâm writing this, but I think I need to vent to the void because when the manga was still running I was here constantly
I havenât seen the end of Dr. Stone, I know the anime ended but I wanted to see the series since the start again and I just didnât
I havenât finished Witch Watch or Ranma, I havenât seen the anime I said I wanted to, I just watched Zombieland Saga because I was watching it with my friends and even then I didnât pay attention to most of it, I want to see it again
Itâs not that I donât have the time, I just donât have motivation, I just donât want to, but I do want to, I want to watch and read things and go back to the days when Iâd come here to fangirl
Sometimes I feel so hollow, the only thing keeping me going is Umamusume, as strange as that sounds
And I know I make it look like itâs just about anime and manga but I havenât read a novel in years, I havenât even cleaned my room, Iâm constantly stressed about finding a job, I feel like a mess

Harald, buddy, what the fuck is wrong with you
So I donât mean to sound so mean when it comes to Harald but at this point itâs so obvious the WG is shamelessly using him like a doormat and the guy is just doing whatever they tell him to. Heâs in a cult, maybe a pyramidal scheme but definitely a cult, and heâs only losing and losing. Heâs doing all of this for WG crumbs and they wonât even give him that (heâs what we in Spanish call a migajero, from migajas, aka crumbs, and even thatâs too much)
Heâs so busy with external relationships that he wonât notice the inner conflicts in Elbaf, and I donât mean just his people, I also mean his family, but weâll talk about that later
Also, the guy is inadvertently running a test trial for the Warlord system. He was doing so much of the dirty work that after he died the government probably thought they could do something similar. They probably thought this could be a good way to keep everyone in check, without realizing not everyone would be as complacent as Harald, so then we get instances like Kuma (blackmail) Mihawk (wanting to chill in peace) Jimbei and Hancock (wanting to protect something or someplace) and then we get Moria (freaky experimenting) and Doffy and Crocodile (planning on taking over an entire country), the WG used Harald so well they thought they could do the same to other people and look where it got them (I could talk about the Warlord system all day because these people could do a background check before choosing their Warlords but they donât)
Somebody give Shanks an Oscar
We already knew that after Roger but before Luffy Shanks returned to his family and now itâs revealed that he became a Holy Knight too
And heâs become an arrogant edgelord, very similar to Eren post time skip
I remember thinking either heâs lying or heâs absolutely delulu, and if itâs the latter the reality check he will need to go back down with the simple mortals has to be a big one, however he also helped Fisher Tiger escape so I think itâs the first, no one will make me believe that Shanks is actually evil
(Also seeing babies Koala, Hancock, Sonia and Mari is breaking my heart, I love them so much)
And at first I thought it was Shamrock who helped Fisher Tiger but then turn the page and it turns out Shanks is there, boo me for not catching that I guess
The thing is Shanks is trying way too much to be arrogant, like heâs trying to mimic what the people around him are saying that hurts him because he doesnât actually think that, not only did he spend basically his whole life down there he was also raised by pirates, if anything I expected Shanks to check it out just to see it he liked it and nope out when he didnât but I guess an undercover mission works out too
Also, Shanks is the one who returns Loki to Elbaf when he runs away after killing Harald, and something tells me that trip to return Loki might line up with the time Shanks decided to nope out, maybe Iâm wrong, welp only time will tell
When Oda said he couldnât write love stories, that was a lie
So I knew that Elbaf was gonna be about love and mixed races since the moment Gaban talked about it, to the point I predicted that Haraldâs true love would be Hajrudinâs mother, and while they werenât mixed race, Shakky and Rayleigh were so cute that I thought that if Oda wanted to write an unapologetic love story he could do it
So I read the chapter and thought that the idea of Loki and Shirahoshi was cute, and then I remembered that people were theorizing that Lokiâs pen pal Shaggy was Shirahoshi, and Neptune and Harald used Shaggy when talking about her and Loki being in an arranged marriage and now asdfghjkl
Needless to say I already made a telenovela about Loki and Shirahoshi in my brain while I was listening to Fate of Ophelia and while it might not mean anything I choose to believe until Iâm proven wrong, they give me the same vibes as Sanemi and Kanae from Demon Slayer and I think the idea is so cute (and before you say that Sanemi and Kanae werenât canon and that I canât base my delusions on what Gyomei said in that data book, guys I know let me dream)
Also I reread Lokiâs interactions with Shaggy and Gerdâs words to him register different now, when she said âIâm glad you have a friendâ I thought she meant it as âI donât like him but heâs my friendâs brother and Iâve known him my whole life, so if heâs happy good for himâ but now I think she meant it as âIâve known Loki my whole life and Iâve never seen him acting this weird and flustered how interestingâ so yeah
I donât think I made a post about this in my page, but ever since Caribou found out about Pluton and Poseidon aka Shirahoshi, and went to Blackbeard to spill the tea, Iâve thought about whatâs gonna happen to them. Wano, where Pluton is, was somewhat easier because I assumed Blackbeard would go to Wano and bomb it to force their borders open, just like Japanâs borders were forced to open in real life, and that the Straw Hats would return to Wano (doubtful but still an idea) and that they might get extra help (I have an idea of who, but Iâm not sure yet), but I had no idea on what might happen to Shirahoshi and Fishman Island, but if Shaggy is Shirahoshi and Loki finds out sheâs in danger, I can see him going to help her, might even take the New Giant Pirates along
Without Bartolomeo the New Giant Pirates are the people in the Straw Hat Grand Fleet weâve focused on the most, so whatever the Grand Fleet does next it could start with them, right?
(Also imagine Loki and Shirahoshi do fall in love and it causes an international incident lol)
(Also also the age gap, yes it would be better if Shirahoshi was over 16, but considering giants age really slowly it really couldâve been way worse)
If this ends up being true, knowing what happened with Lola, Loki turned out to be a hopeless romantic and considering his personality I think itâs actually really sweet (might have something to do with his parents, speaking of whichâŚ)
Oda you had one job
The only thing I wanted out of all of this was for Ida to be alive so Hajrudin and Loki could be mommaâs boys in present day but now it looks like thatâs not gonna happen
I adored Ida since the moment she first appeared, sheâs the sweetest girl ever and her love story with Harald is one of the best in the series. She loved Hajrudin so much and then took Loki in despite not giving birth to him and loved him just the same, those are her little boys
And both are showing their love for her in their own little ways, and Loki finally admits that Ida is his mom, that he remembers that his bio mom pulled an Hera on him and that Ida, with her unconditional love, is the only mother heâs ever known
The worst part is Harald, everything he did, all the effort to get peace and a place in the World Government, he did it because of Ida, every single thing, including not helping out his best friend before he died and taking out his horns, it was all because of Ida, but heâs so focused on that he missed what he had close to him, he missed pieces of Hajrudin and Loki growing up, and now heâs gonna miss the last moments of the only woman heâs ever loved, the reason he started all of this to begin with, Idaâs death is going to break Hajrudin and Loki but itâs going to completely destroy Harald and thatâs gonna hurt like hell
So much for wanting Ida to live
I know most of the flashback is probably omnipresent so Loki is not actually telling Hajrudin all of it, but if in those five minutes Hajrudin gave Loki to explain himself they have to relive their motherâs loss, now Iâm just making myself cry
So yeah, next chapter is gonna make me bawl and Iâm not looking forward to it
Ok so Pandaâs epilogue in the last JJK volume, did that happen before or after Modulo? Because Yuka has the ring, is the epilogue from Modulo going to be that scene but from Yuka and Tsurugiâs POV? When was the last time Panda was conscious? Did he say goodbye to Yuta and Maki? What about Inumaki? What about the trio? (I think at least Yujiâs alive but I need the tea)

I had a thought while reading this chapter and now Iâm feeling bad
So letâs have a break fangirling about Shakky and Rayleigh (and Roger being a menace in general lol) and walk with me

Warning: lots of text about Dragon and Garp
I started to think about how both Garp and Dragon were asked to take care of babies and how different they both ended up
Dragon was in the twinsâ lives for so little time he didnât really make an impact, and we donât know what happened to Shamrock after that but we know what happened to Shanks, we can assume that it was thanks to Dragon that Shanks ended up in the Oro Jackson, and the Roger Pirates became his family, he loved Roger like a father, and despite being a pirate, Shanks is a strong, well-respected person and heâs thriving
Then Roger asked Garp to take care of Ace, look what happened
Because I think itâs worse than what happened or didnât happen in Marineford, because if you make the argument that Garp didnât help Ace because he didnât ask thatâs fine, I still feel Garp failed Ace in other ways, two specific instances come to mind
The first was wanting Ace and Luffy to join the Marines. Putting Luffy aside, Garp knows about the campaign that killed tons of pregnant women and children, he knows that people hate Ace just because he was born as Rogerâs kid, he knows that the Marines and the government hated Roger with the passion of the thousand suns and the fact that he thought Ace would be safe with the Marines is extremely idiotic to me, he wouldâve just given Ace for them to kill in a silver platter, because even if he had used Rougeâs name, the Marines wouldâve still found out who he was because Cipher Pol could, because they eventually did
The second was when Ace came to Garp and asked him if his life had any value and Garp said he must figure it out, and I get what he was trying to say but that only gave Ace issues so bad that when he was taken and Whitebeard and his pirates and Luffy risked everything to save him Ace asked something like why would you go so far to save me. The fact that his last words were thank your for loving me, because he thought he wasnât worthy of it because he was Rogerâs son breaks my heart
I could compare it to Attack on Titan and how Erenâs mom Carla thought he was special simply because he was born, but I donât have to go that far, Franky himself said it, itâs not a crime to just exist
Dragon was in the twinsâ lives for a very little amount of time, but he did a better job with them than Garp did with Ace, and the fact that Dragon found the twins on the event that radicalized and disillusioned him from the government while Garp couldnât let go of his sense of Marine justice for the sake of Ace (and to a lesser extent Luffy) I hate it
Also I know that Dragon was very young at the time but if he had taken in the twins he wouldâve made a better job than Garp did somebody write that fanfic
And I know Garp wasnât even there that much, Dadan did all the heavy lifting and she is basically their mother, but still
I always come back to Garp and Roger and Ace and their storyline because I find it so incredibly tragic, I just feel like Garpâs time in the Marines and his sense of justice have made him more harm than good and heâs either oblivious or completely delusional
Itâs also why I donât buy that saving Koby in Fullalead is a good redemption from that. âHe couldnât save Ace so he didnât hesitate this time and saved Kobyâ no itâs not enough, because he doesnât lose anything reputation wise from saving Koby like he wouldâve from saving Ace. I love Koby but if Garp wants a redemption saving Koby is not enough, he needs to do something bigger, the thing is I donât think heâs brave enough to do what it could take to redeem him
Yeah I just wanted to rant, now Iâm gonna go and look for something sweet to read đŤ

Remember when the epilogues came out and the Panda epilogue had Yutaâs grandchildren and people doubted whether or not they were Makiâs too even though Yuta never had that kind of chemistry with anyone else and also ignored that the grandson had all the Zenin genes and pout, all because it wasnât explicitly stated that Yuta and Maki got married??
Well it is now, JJK is gonna have a spin off and in it Yuta and Maki are explicitly married, so explicitly even the shipping wiki had to change their status
In your face haters, Yuta and Maki are canon đ
And apparently Maki died first but Yuta couldnât cope with it and left shortly after, he essentially died of a broken heart, he loved her that much (they both did)
It felt like a small win with the epilogues but now I feel so vindicated, Maki marrying someone out of love is the best fuck you she couldâve given the Zenin clan and I love it

Iâve been reading One Piece for six years, I always thought if I liked a ship thatâs what Ao3 is for right
What the hell, making everyone obsessed with Shakky, and I get it sheâs gorgeous, but itâs so funny, and then Roger đđ
And I always thought that Gloriosa was salty with Shakky because Shakky got her love story but Gloriosa didnât, itâs so much worse
Just imagine, Gloriosa is in love with Roger, but heâs fawning over Shakky, her first mate, the whole time. And it turns out Shakky doesnât want Roger, she wants his first mate Rayleigh, and we know theyâll eventually get together, and we know Roger will eventually fall in love with Rouge, Gloriosa never wins
And when this whole flashback ception started I thought the biggest love story was gonna be Ida and Harald but nope (also Harald and Rocks, I love their friendship so much)
Obviously theyâre gonna pull an Illiad and Shakky is gonna be there because sheâs gonna be like Helen of Troy, what if in the middle of the God Valley incident Shakky just tells Rayleigh sheâs in love with him in front of everyone (pls let it happen I want to see Garpâs reaction, as someone who is not involved in the telenovela lol)
It would be kind of funny if Loki, being exposed to his parentsâ and Idaâs story and part of the telenovela decides heâs never gonna fall in love while heâs on the âgirls have cootiesâ stage and then boom Lola
And I really need the Straw Hats to tell Gaban that yes Shakky and Rayleigh are married and have a business together in Sabaody (he probably already knows but imagine if he doesnât lol)

So I was pissed at the anime adapting things out of order because they were messing with Keigo and Nemu, who are my favorite characters and my OTP, but now Iâm just confused
Because next week theyâre adapting Morihitoâs birthday and what the fuck
Moiâs birthday is in October (I had to check the wiki lol) and thatâs really close to Halloween, so Ranâs introduction, and to the Day of the Eclipse
The Day of the Eclipse happens in mid November, and weâre still missing Ran and his parents, that training with the ogres, Momo, Fran, a few episodic shenanigans, more Kanshi suffering, that chapter where Keigo and Nemu go to the zoo, Morihito breaking the curse and admitting he loves Nico, I can understand if they donât put the Sket Dance crossover but still what
Theyâre introducing Kurowa next week like what the actual fuck
I feel like it was fine until they started putting specific dates because the mental gymnastics the audience is gonna have to do, itâs too much

Iâm aware that Iâm probably the only one who cares, but just let me have this, Iâve been reading the manga for years before the anime was even announced and I love this series and its cast so much
Also Iâve loved Shinohara since I read Sket Dance (I will never get over Bossun and Himeko tho)

Who the hell thought about adapting the series out of order
Because on paper itâs fine, the series is episodic and it shouldnât have continuity problems unless itâs on the serious arcs, and it doesnât, but something about it rubbed me the wrong way, and then I saw this weekâs episode and next weekâs preview and I got it
I hate it because I feel like Keigo and Nemuâs relationship is getting affected
The first time I really got mad was when they adapted the chapter with the textbook characters, people were like âthey took a Jojo referenceâ I was like âwtf they took out half the chapter because it had Wolf and Nemuâ in the manga Keigo/Wolf were already living with Nico, Morihito and Kanshi and Nemu was already their friend, but in the anime they adapted the chapter before Wolf was revealed and they met Nemu so half the chapter is missing from the anime
And I was like ehh whatever
Then they switched two stories around. In the manga Nemu goes to visit and ends up watching a movie with Keigo alone before they go pick up Miharu, in the anime first they pick up Miharu then Nemu goes to visit. Small potatoes but they skipped a part where Nicoâs like âI wish Nemu could live hereâ and Keigoâs like âyeah nope đłâ
Now Iâm really mad, in the manga first we have a really two cute parter between Keigo and Nemu, and it was here where I felt that they were aware that there was something going on, then we have a two parter for Nico and Morihito, and it involved using a spell where you could see what a person felt for another, if it was love youâd see a flower and if itâs friendship youâd see bugs. When Nico wanted to use the spell on to see what Nemu felt for Keigo Nemu started blushing and said no. I remember when I read the manga and I said âshe doesnât want anybody to see because that wouldnât be a bugâ but in the anime, since they havenât had their big moment adapted yet, her outburst here doesnât make as much sense, for all we know they couldâve been bugs
And the worst part is that the Keigo and Nemu chapters are being adapted next week, so why the fuck didnât you release that first and then the episode with the letter, that way weâd be 100% sure that Nemuâs feelings for Keigo wouldnât be bugs asdfghjkl >:v
Nemu has had more moments with Wolf than Keigo at this point in the anime
Iâm sorry I know Iâm probably alone in this and I really donât mind stand alone chapters being adapted out of order, I donât even mind that weâre probably not going to see the Minecraft chapter adapted
But messing with Keigo and Nemuâs continuity, thatâs where I get angry, like anime what the fuck are you doing
(Yes Keigo and Nemu are my favorite characters in case you were asking, rant over)
So youâre telling me that not only are the actors for the main characters of Sket Dance in Witch Watchâs #1 manga Uron Mirage (the main trio and Tsubaki)
But the main characters named Oboro and Utsuro, who are in-universe considered the seriesâ OTP shipped by Kuku and the teacher, are voiced by the same actors as Bossun and Himeko
Theyâre really dangling it in our faces and I both love and absolutely hate it
Remember how based on Gabanâs speech about love and mixed races I assumed that it would tie back to Hajrudin and Loki and their parents and how I said that if Harald loved anyone it was probably Hajrudinâs mother?
I was right, and sheâs so cute asdfghjkl (it was so predictable and I probably wasnât the only one who thought it but let me stay in my high horse for a while hahaha)
Harald being extremely unhinged but then redeemed by love, thatâs my shit I love it
And I figured that Harald didnât love Lokiâs mother but I thought sheâd be ok, sheâs actually insane and she threw Loki off a cliff as a baby like Hera did with Hephaestus what the hell (also baby Loki I donât care about his eyes heâs still a cute baby)
(Also I was thinking what if Ida is still alive and Hajrudin is a mamaâs boy even now lol)
So yeah, giants have their little hearts beneath all the warrior pride and Oda is in his writing love stories era, I love it

And today I say that I canât remember the last time I cried so hard reading a chapter, Iâve been crying on and off for the past hour or two
Einar is one of my favorite characters, and I just canât believe that heâs gone
And the worst part is they canât take his body back to Iceland, so either they make a Viking funeral or they bury him in Vinland/Canada
Also, Thorfinnâs not aware that Gudri gave birth yet, imagine her being happy and showing off the baby and then him having to tell her that Einar is dead
Thorfinn just wanted a peaceful life and his best friend was taken from him in the process, to say this broke my heart is an understatement

So I hate the live action remake trend. Sometimes itâs entertaining like with Maleficent or Christopher Robin, but normally I feel like Disney is trying to replace its classics in the public consciousness
Whether because they think animation is inferior or because theyâre trying to fix bad faith criticisms from the public thatâs small potatoes in the grand scheme of things, I donât know, I think itâs both
And if itâs the animation angle, rude, animation is the reason Disney is what it is today
I actually didnât like that they wanted to mess with Snow White because of what it means to the history of animation and Disney in general but ehh they already messed with the Lion King so obviously nothing is sacred anymore
I do admit the original movie is very 30s so a modern reinterpretation would be nice, but make it a reinterpretation of the fairy tale, not the 1937 movie
And the first three princesses receive a lot of flack by modern audiences and I think thatâs really unfair, like theyâre not perfect but I feel the criticism is that theyâre too feminine and not assertive enough, theyâre literally victim blaming Cinderella who is a victim of abuse
In Snow Whiteâs case, yes sheâs really feminine but sheâs also kind and resilient, she went through that scary ass forest by herself, and then became really close to the dwarves
And she didnât clean their house just because, she did it because she thought if she proved she could help they would let her stay, because she had nowhere to stay because the Queen wanted her dead, it was a business transaction that worked really well, given how much the dwarves came to love her
Snow White is not physically strong but she has her own kind of strength, which gets dismissed because itâs a softer type of strength
Given how much Disney boasts about their live action princesses not needing a prince to save them I was scared they would strip Snow White of her kindness and resilience, because I feel like they stripped live action Belle of everything I loved about animated Belle (Emma Watson I love you but eeehhhh)
I feared they would strip her femininity away because thereâs a connotation that the more feminine you are the weaker you probably are which I think is actually more mysoginistic than anything the original princesses movies did
I mean theyâre not perfect but Snow White, Cinderella and Aurora are more than what the public thinks
But I donât know why Iâm analyzing Snow White, most people didnât care about her until Rachel Zegler started trash talking her
And it wasnât really trash talking, she was just saying the original was very 30s, and sheâs right, but still people still used it as a reason to hate her
And look I donât know what Rachel is thinking but Iâm willing to bet everything she said in the D23 was stuff Disney made her say, because it sounds very similar to what they were saying about live action Belle, Ariel, Mulan, Cinderella, Jasmine and I think even Aurora
Yaâll didnât care about Snow White until Rachel was cast, because Rachel wasnât white as snow (my good sir no one is white as snow itâs a metaphor be so fucking for real)
Tell me youâve never heard Rachel sing without telling me youâve never heard Rachel sing
She can never catch a break, first West Side Story where she was made responsible for her co starâs shenanigans, Shazam bombed, and now this, at least she did well as Lucy Gray but like give her a good role in an unproblematic movie
The public was so racist with her and Halle Bailey I will never forgive them for that, and Disney did nothing to protect them
And apparently part of the reason Disney didnât protect Rachel is because sheâs pro Palestine
But Gal Gadot is the one who got all the good publicity and the star in the Walk of Fame
She pales in comparison to Rachel and Iâm glad people are starting to notice that Rachel is actually good (took them too long actually)
Also quick tangent, Rachelâs styling in the movie is so awful, I never thought they could top how bad Belleâs live action dress was but they did, with Snow Whiteâs main dress, they dressed her like Farquaad in her white dress and she still looks better in that than her main dress ugh
Back on topic, to the surprise of everyone but my own Rachel was apparently the best part of the movie but she has been taking the brunt of the movieâs backlash, and if the movieâs bad sheâs gonna get the blame even if she doesnât deserve it
And again, no one cared about Snow White until Rachel
Yaâll are so hypocritical with Rachel and Snow White that youâre making me defend a Disney live action adaptation, which goes against everything I believe in as an animation fan

In honor of Valentineâs Day, I will give you my top 10 One Piece ships, because Oda might not write a lot of romance but itâs entertaining as hell

10- Robin and Franky: if Oda actually wrote romance they would be married by now, the banter, the chemistry, the itâs not a crime to exist, I love it
9- Zoro and Google Maps: Zoro buddy we canât have you getting lost in straight hallway again, weâre in the final saga get it together
8- Sabo and Koala: I just think theyâre cute :3
7- Yasopp and child support: look I know you had dreams, but disappearing on your family without the intention of coming back to at least say hello, rude
6- Smoker and Hina: we have the end of Alabasta, the five minutes they were together in Stampede (not canon but still) and that one cover page, you canât lie to me thatâs married behavior
5- Shanks and every single crack theory ever: the Shanks was born to a Celestial Dragon family and the Shanks has a twin brother theories ended up being true, so the skyâs the limit now
4- Usopp and Kaya: theyâre so obvious that the live action didnât bother and just let them kiss, if I unironically have faith in anything from this list itâs them
3- Luffy and food: not since Goku have I seen a character in anything so attached to food, I constantly pray for Sanjiâs kitchen because itâs that bad
2- Koby, Helmeppo and Hibari: they give me the same vibe as that Parks and Rec clip with April and her two boyfriends, like this is my boyfriend Koby and thatâs his boyfriend Helmeppo
1- Dragon and Crocodile: the OTP of all OTPs, I want to see their reunion and them meeting Luffy and being a big happy family
