lore-accurate praying to the watchers would be less like "o watchers, guide me through the nether as i risk my life for wither skulls" and instead like "hey watchers, what should i name this wolf i tamed? write suggestions in the comments and they might appear in a future video!"
Going through the chapter 5 trailer frame by frame, so this will be a little synopsis and screenshots of things I find interesting! Let me know if I missed anything that you think is important to mention!
We start with a black screen with a little green sprout in the middle. Under the sprout, the annoying dog toby fox plush bursts from the ground, the sprout growing from its head. We zoom in as the sprout starts to bloom into a sunflower, from the sun flower, the Deltarune logo also emerges and floats above the annoying dog. Then, from the A in the Deltarune logo, pink flower petals explode and fill the screen, transitioning us from the intro into a battle scene. Its also worth it to note that the pink petals change to yellow as they fall and reveal the next scene
In the Battle, we see Kris, Susie, and Ralsei in their defending poses on the left, and these Rudinn-like flower guards as their enemies on the right.
We can see in this scene that the Flower Rudinns attack by throwing their crown of flower petals onto the battle (a red circle shows where the flowers will land) and the the petals shoot outward. There is alot of speculation to be had on these guys I think. If we are presumably in the dark world in the Flower King Shop, I don't know if these guys would be cards, like their card kingdom counter parts, But I doubt that the Rudinn design would be called back to like this without meaning something. I think it could be likely that these flower Ruddins do not want to fight and are being ordered to by Asgore, creating a link from Asgore to King.
Anyways, Above the battle, there is the script "NEW ADVENTURES ARE" (in the normal Deltarune font) "Blooming" in a pink cursive. I know that this line is a reference to something in Undertale but if anyone could give me specifics of the quote I would be very grateful!
We switch to another battle scene, this time against The little pink ball from the chapter 1 forest, now taking the form of multiple little balls stacked in a human shape, sporting its blonde wing from Nubert. Nubert is also her with his own Goku shaped haircut. Last, trashy is there, and seems to be the one currently attacking, as there is bits of trash surrounding the battle box. I've seen someone theorize that this may be a Dojo battle, and I think that makes sense, but we the player have also written off Trashy in a few scenes so I think it could be fun if he's feeling sort of vengeful and is staging an uprising. As the scene plays, the little ball throws more balls at you, and it appears also that you're using a fork or a brush to clean the trash around.
As a transition, a blue silhouette of Kris runs across the top of the screen followed by a blue trail, then a pink Susie silhouette follows in the middle, and finally a yellow-green silhouette of Ralsei. Their trails leave the screen covered in something that resembles the Pansexual pride flag, which could mean nothing.
The colors then thin out and disappear, showing us the "I wike you too, Suwsie" Scene from chapter 4 (i think). We then see the scene of Spamton jumping out of the dumpster from Chapter 2, Which quickly switches to a Chapter 3 battle against Tenna, where you replay the mini game of Kris jumping over fire and stuff. Putting Spamton and Tenna in the trailer despite there being like no chance of them showing up in this chapter is Yaoi bait. He is jiggling the promise of your blorbos in front of your face like keys and you will fall for it. (I do think Tenna will be in the chapter because he is in your castle town if you don't give him to Mettaton, I don't thing he or Spamton will be important.)
Next, we are in another battle sequence with a new enemy!!
It seems that the soul is collecting water drops that increase tp, and the blubs falling are the attack, when one reaches the bottom and grows, text at the bottom says "The enemy bloomed" and the sprout on its head grows into a cherry tree. The background of the battle box also changes to be a little scene
In the next scene, we see the fun gang walking up a path to a Japanese style building or shrine with a white feather or quill floating in the entrance. Many have speculated that is the white pen of hope that Gerson spoke about in Chapter 4. Over the gang walking, text says "Chapter 5" with text below them appearing to say "is waiting". I find the architecture to be sort of strange and out of place, if we are in the Flower King dark world. I've seen some thoughts about this being the influence of Carol Holiday, as she has a Katanna, but I don't know how I feel about it and will have to give it more though and research
The text continues to the next scene where we are in another battle, this time with just Kris, facing the spinning sword Omega Flowey attack. Now to be clear, I haven't played Undertale in a very long time, but isn't Omega Flowey using the attacks of the previous human souls? And this is the green souls attack? If so, this could lend alot to the flowers in the glass in Asgores home being attached to other Human souls from Undertale in some way. Very interesting and very exciting.
We continue to a short clip of Kris and Susie sliding down a beanstalk. This to me looks like the beginning area of a darkworld where everything is kind of empty (like where we find Susie in Chapter 1), as all of those areas have had this sliding bit that I don't think we see anywhere else.
We then see Kris, Susie, and Ralsei running through a marsh like area that I also believe is probably part of the beginning empty area too.
That fades to black, where a blue Silhouette of Kris, Pink Silhouette of Susie, and Yellow-green Silhouette of Ralsei fade in, and then them and the background fade into color and detail, revealing the fun gang on the roof of another Japanese style Building, looking out into a field of pink and yellow as the sun sets, framed by tall pillar like mountains.
Overall, I think that what darkworld we are in is not certain. I think it could be likely that Carol makes the festival into a dark world and places Asgore at the head of it, as she had his flowers be used in decorating the town and could be orchrastrating the darkworld be placed there. Or that perhaps there is going to be two different dark worlds, one in the Flower King shop, and one where the Architecture can be influenced in a way we haven't really seen before
Please correct any mistakes I made or let me know your thoughts on things I should add! Thanks for reading!!
