“Of course you’re not.” David put a hand on her shoulder gently. Poor kid, peers could be really mean sometimes. Sure this girl was peculiar but that didn’t mean she deserved to be treated like an outcast. After all everyone was special in their own ways!
“Sometimes when people don’t understand something they get afraid, try not to let that get you down. I’m sure with enough time they’ll come around and see you for who you are.”
– – 🌠 Mabel was mostly used to the ridicule she and her brother got in Gravity Falls, people there-- well, she had a reputation. Camp was supposed to be a new place, where she could make new friends (or at least, that was how her great uncle pushed the idea, she was pretty certain he just wanted her out of the house).
