The Meaning of End

I was watching the movie ATL yesterday and i noticed a very familiar line in the movie. It took place in a car and it went like this: “There’s somethin’ about you I can’t believe I’m even talking to you, tellin’ you this right now You’re special I wish you could see what I see” The girl is telling a guy this and Frank sampled it in his song end which is the last song in Channel Orange. Now why am i telling you this? Well because after the girl told the guy that she loves him, he gets out of the car and leaves which makes the girl heartbroken. How does this relate to Frank? Firstly, because if you remember Franks open letter he said:

"I was in a Nissan Maxima, I sat there and told my friend how I felt. I wept as the words left my mouth. I grieved for them, knowing I could never take them back for myself. He patted my back. He said kind things. He did his best, but he wouldn’t admit the same. He had to go back inside soon”

Frank told his friend he loved him in a car, same as the movie where the girl told the guy. But the most heartbreaking part is what comes next, like i said before, the guy in the movie was shocked and got out of the car and left which is exactly what franks friend did. BUT, if you listen to end, you can hear the car door shutting and engine powering off and the person going back inside the house which signals what franks friend did to him.“he had to back inside again”

End is Frank recreating what happened to him when he confessed his love.
