Having expected her search to amount to nothing, as usual, Alicia was quite surprised by the helpful response. “Really?” She blinked. Funnily, her first thought was wondering who the second brunette might be. The second was that the park seemed so simple, so public. Finally, the realisation that Nick was likely high after all sunk in. Her expression darkened again. “Okay. That's… yeah, that’s probably him. Thank you.” Still, she didn’t turn to ride away, letting the anger settle in. Their entire nation had changed, and their family hadn’t. Would she ever be free of them?

With a sigh, she finally reached acceptance. It seemed she’d be stuck in their cycle for a while to come. With a foot on the pedal, she turned back to the stranger. Alicia wasn’t sure she’d have any luck an hour later, but perhaps they were high enough to stay put. “Sorry, just one more question. Do you know… what they were taking?” He’d taken note of their state of sobriety, so maybe he’d seen something more. Alicia wasn’t in the mood to deal with aggression, nor did she have the ability to carry Nick should he be passed out. She had to know what she was getting herself into.

Glenn nodded as a return to her gratitude, and then remained quiet as she pondered. It was evident that her brother’s behaviour was bothering her, and felt he could relate. Although he’d never been close to an addict, Glenn had lost people in similar ways, watched them go down path’s he couldn’t follow. It was the behaviour of those closest to you that disappointed you the most, that hurt you. “It was weed. I’m no expert, but that smell is kinda’ impossible to miss, right?” He’d caught wind of it before he’d even seen them, and despite the fact that he’d passed no judgement then, Glenn’s opinion was beginning to change now. “Hey, look, do you want me to come with you? I can take you to exactly where they were, and I wouldn’t feel right leaving you to look for him on your own.”
