“Sixteen years ago, it was just Breanna Ashworth and Delilah. When they founded the coven together.”
The importance and extent to which Breanna influenced the coven’s founding is unfortunately absent from the Brigmore Witches DLC, presumably since this idea was conceived after the fact for Dishonored 2.
A shame, especially considering she even mentions going head to head with Daud during that time - but why should that stop me from getting waaay to invested in this particular aspect of the coven’s history and dynamics.
What it seems to me is that witches obey Breanna just as they would Delilah, because Breanna is - in her words: just the instrument through which Delilah’s will can be played. It’s Delilah’s fire in her marrow. Delilah’s power calls through Breanna out to women who may join them in the same way it once called out to her.
As of Return of Daud Breanna was even able to siphon her own magic and share it with a few people within the coven, much like Delilah’s own arcane bond. I do wonder what meaningfully distinguishes one from one another at that point? Especially in the eyes of their coven.
when breanna sleeps is her snoring more like a honk shoo, honk shoo or a snrrrk mi mi mi…? 🤔

breanna and her hounds, who i have taken to calling fern (magic, new beginnings, a secret bond of love and sincerity) and cypress (hope and everlasting life), names were not chosen on a whim, naturally.
with the emphasis placed on her proficiency with bones, in my mind at least, the bond shared between the gravehounds and breanna is uniquely special. they are her pride and joy, and very protective of her.
it has been a month or so without drawing consistently, which hopefully goes to explain any decline in quality alongside the inconsistency of uploads. sometimes you just don’t feel good about your own stuff, it happens.
mercy on me,
would you let me let go?
i am here, returned. from the cold, from forever.
unabashedly inspired by this beautiful statue and the myth behind it - many of it’s themes and specific story beats speak to what we see playing out between delilah/breanna in dh2

we have amazing new references available! so, something simple as i try following her design as closely as possible ehe
ive already shared this with the discord but id put it in a google drive so people outside of it could access it easier so! heres a giant folder of reference images of dishonored character models! theyre organized by game and each character has 10 different angles per variant
theyre all just in reference pose, nothing fancy i just pushed them through a mostly uniform camera set up en masse. that said, if you notice any of the images are super fucky or you need refs of a character that isnt there, message me so i can sort it out :)
use these for whatever you want i dont really care
arcane bond.
edit: i’ve decided to change the version uploaded (i made about 50 variations) here because i felt it was, visually, too dark. this other version fits the tone i was attempting to portray better. this style is something i’m still learning and it’s hard! so i am very sorry for the inconvenience :,)
the pain in my vein is hereditary.
adorning the shrine in the curator’s office are lotuses and water lillies,
across certain cultures, these flowers often play a role in worship.
hand in hand they represent - rebirth, resurrection, beginnings, and new life.
