More Content on the Way
The account 'DreamWorks Deserves More Recognition’ has been far behind in new content lately, which may have caused some doubt or annoyance. - The reason for the delay is that I want each tribute to be as best as they can be. To write an informative and supportive piece takes a little time.
Just to assure, it’s not going to remain inactive: New contribution will be up ultimately.
The upcoming one is going to focus on a group of characters, more specifically from the antagonist’s perspective. What makes a bad guy from DreamWorks distinct. - Is there one you want to be included?
A big thank you for your understanding and support of DreamWorks
Thank you for following my blog and not being a pornbot
Oh, of course! It’s always great to meet a fellow supporter. ^^
TOY STORY 4 SET TO RELEASE JUNE 2017, SAME AS HTTYD3???????????????!!!!!
welcome to this weeks current fandom freakout.
WHAT
Pixar is mad trippin. First with finding Dory and now with Toy Story 4?
#they’re scared of our dragons#I know it
They better be, because they are blatantly disrespecting and disregarding dreamworks as an amazing animation studio, and as competition. I mean, we are all well aware that because it’s Disney Pixar, they will get a lot of hype. They should know that. They’ll still get people coming to their movies no matter the date, so why do they constantly have to interrupt Dreamworks and their successes.
Dreamworks has had the date set twice now, only to have Pixar decide they want in on it, just to screw over Dreamworks, who is still developing as a company and building their audience. This bullshit Pixar is causing is making me want to protest their movies. It’s just fucking rude.
Now adding Frozen to the list, and considering its age, they could have released the sequel any other year, but they chose 2019: to contempt DreamWorks even further: As well as the announcement of The Lion King.
DreamWorks has only one major movie set for 2019; The final installment to How to Train Your Dragon, but Disney won't give them a break, not even once.
It's time to realize, people: There's no denial of Disney's and Pixar’s manipulative pull on biased fans, disregarding DreamWorks in the process. We know that people will flock to their movies, any time and any year, so why ruin DreamWorks's one chance to earn their well-deserved recognition?
Your stubbornness is what brings this misery upon our rivalry: It would seize if you would just let it go. Please, let go of your contempt for DreamWorks before it destroys everything we both share: Think of their struggle. - For once in your life, would you please just listen to us?
With Frozen II coming out this year…
I’m really nervous for DreamWorks right now
I mean Dean Deblois really, REALLY worked so hard for the finale of the Dragon Movies (HTTYD 3) and well deserved reviews that makes the final movie more possible to take home the Oscars…
Then I saw the trailer…
I think the story will get a bit darker like what the DreamWorks used to surpass the original movie like…
Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011)
and HTTYD 2 (2014)
has many perfect review BUT STILL NEVER WON AN OSCAR!
MAN SERIOUSLY I’M REALLY SCARED FOR THEM!!!
IMAGINE…Two movies will go HEAD to HEAD on the Oscars on 2020!!!
Frozen II vs HTTYD 3: The Hidden World
To tell you the truth, In my opinion, an overrated song used in a movie doesn’t mean that the should AUTOMATICALLY WIN THE OSCARS, but how about the movies from DreamWorks?
DreamWorks style doesn’t really rely on songs but the STORY ITSELF…the VERY FOUNDATION OF EVERY MOVIE and not the songs that high lights every movie that makes them deserving to have an Oscar and for target audiences they both cater kids and adults like the very first animated movie they made like The Prince of Egypt.
Yes it has songs but songs that made the MOST IMPACT in every people lives but then suddenly it was forgotten. Compared to the songs in Disney that are just catchy tunes, easy to sing, or the song will have more impact just because its…Disney made those songs.
Anyway….
I really wish that the BIG award giving organizations (BAFTA and Oscars) for Motion Pictures consider for once to look deeper into the story and the visualization, not just the AUDIENCE NUMBER or IMPACT.
Be after the QUALITY and not the QUANTITY!
and of cource, I also hope that they should look at the movies like from this point of view…
I know the two big organizations are a bit (or largely) biased for the other animation company but HONESTLY, DreamWorks deserved better
Thanks for coming to my TED talk

P.S I neee your insights and opinions on this one and Keep reblogging
Disney is a monopoly.
Let the others step up now
Disney has had its run: People buy into their same old formula while our beloved DreamWorks is left in the shadows. It’s time for a change.
(Part 3) Rare Moments in Animation
The final chapter of the series: Listed in order of release dates.
“Mostly known for cheap comedy and pop-culture references, but DreamWorks has something that few companies dare touch upon: Bravery to depict deep real-life situations.”
“Jack, I’m scared.” | “I know. But you're gonna be alright. You have to believe in me“
Falling through the ice is a horrifying experience, and Rise of the Guardians highlights how grave such a situation is.
Jack, who's also the protagonist, is ready to risk his life for his younger sister: She can only watch in horror as he plummets into the icy cold water
In a poignant and quiet scene in which a son and -father-in-law get a chance to have a heart-to-heart talk, isn't often displayed in movies. This scene highlights the importance of mutual communication and taking the time to listen
“She loves you, but always forgets to say it; just like you forget to tell her”
“You’re as beautiful as the day I lost you.”
DreamWorks acknowledges a real-life issue that society often overlooks: Spouses or parents leaving their families, but it's Stoick's response that sets his and Valka's situation apart: Instead of blaming Valka, he knows what truly matters: Their love.
(Part 2) Rare Moments in Animation
Heading to DreamWorks’s 3D animated movies: Listed in order of release dates. (Spoiler Warning)
“Mostly known for cheap comedy and pop-culture references, but DreamWorks has something that few companies dare touch upon: Bravery to depict deep real-life situations.” (Part 2 of 3)
Hiccup wins the battle, but just like for many soldiers in real life, it also comes with a cost:
While it isn't unusual for an animated character to end up with a missing limb, few movies go into depth with its consequences. The How to Train Your Dragon franchise takes its time to address the difficulties an amputee has to go through every day.
Finding out that a friend or a loved one has seemingly just been taking advantage of you is tough, and Roxanne has every reason to refuse him. As for Megamind; his feelings toward her have been genuine, and the thought of her not returning his love, is enough to break his heart; but instead of chasing after her, he instead respects her decision and lets her go.
“Did you really think that I would ever be with you?” | “No.”
“I don’t know why, but they took my claws.”
Puss in Boots addresses an issue that is still in practice on cats due to lack of knowledge: Declawing your cat not only causes pain in the paws and back (with claws missing, the cat's paw can't reach the terrain properly), but can also cause infection and tissue death. If you're not sure on how to handle a cat scratching your precious furniture, talk to a veterinarian for advice.
What About DreamWorks SKG
Now, when DreamWorks is under someone else’s wing, every review, article and official YouTube-videos only credit Universal: As if, DreamWorks no longer exists.
Universal Studios: “You’re under my command, DreamWorks: Therefore, anything you manage to do right, is credited to me.”
DreamWorks: “So, I do the work and you get the glory?”
Hello. I will make gifs of httyd3 only after blue ray come out.. i did only from trailers and tv clips.. I hope everybody who loves httyd will go and watch it in the cinema. Dreamworks needs our support, as you know they had some finance problems.. so go and watch the movie in the cinema))) Do not seach it online with a terrible quality, please! Big thank you @dreamworksanimation for the amazing movies <333
Similar Poses
Has anyone noticed how similar both of their signature moves are? (Just a curious observation)
Listen i love dreamworks so much and not only because their animation is so positively astounding and beautiful but also because theyre so unpredictable you never know what theyre gonna put out next
Because dreamworks can do things like Voltron: Legendary Defender, Trollhunters, The Prince of Egypt, How to Train Your Dragon, and Home
But they can also do things like Shrek and Bee Movie
And while things like that might not be redeeming qualities to me its fantastic because being a dreamworks fan is one hell of a wild ride and i love it
who’s still on tumblr?
reblog if you plan on remaining active.
just wanna see if the number’s still huge! ☆
Tumblr is a great place to voice one’s thoughts. Leaving anytime soon is not an option. I just need to figure out how to continue writing inspiring and influential messages.
please.
That is the exact spot my parents found a stray kitten. Nice little addition to the family, but would have been a terrible addition to the pavement had she not been very vocal OTL
No joke, the place where that cat is resting in this picture is called a “dead cat hole” it’s an automotive term. Don’t believe me, look it up.
This is also where I found a stray cat, she was up in there during a thunderstorm and I begged my dad to let me being her inside and that’s the story of how I got my first cat.
Please don’t skip over this without reading it and making a mental note. Even if you don’t have a car, tell your parents or whoever, and make sure to do this. You think that’ll never happen but that’s what everyone thought who had this happen and didn’t check, and that poor cold cat met with a terribly sad end.
REBLOG WHETHER YOU LIKE CATS OR NOT
I know there’s a lot of tension after Tumblr’s new policy annouced for December 17th, but reblog this if you aren’t leaving Tumblr so that other blogs can know they aren’t going to be completely alone!
Kung Fu Panda: Rare Moments in Animation
In honor of the franchise's ten year anniversary, I've decided to skip ahead in my RMiA-series: KFP handles topics such as valuable life lessons and low self-esteem: But it's also not afraid to depict the darker aspects of the world.
"Mostly known for cheap comedy and pop-culture references, but DreamWorks has something that few companies dare touch upon: Bravery to depict deep real-life situations." (Part 1.5)
Certain points will always be sensitive to talk about: Murder and death are a few of them. The first installment tackles crime within the family: The child feels so hurt for not getting what he wants that he takes his anger out on the man that raised him: His rage blinds him to the point that he won't hesitate in taking his own father's life. - Just the aspect of it alone, so the fact that an animated movie targeted toward a younger audience can illustrate it, shows just how far and mature you can go.
"I have always been proud of you. From the first moment, I’ve been proud of you: And it was my pride that blinded me. I loved you too much to see what you were becoming: What I was turning you into. I’m sorry.”
The second installment explores the act of genocide. While other movies have tackled it before, but Kung Fu Panda's particular take on it is what sets it apart: Without going into too much detail, it is the types of acts and sacrifices he's willing to commit to getting the job done.
The idea of two parents being of the same gender has been a delicate topic around the globe. KFP not only handles it with care but also, it'd be so easy to have Po's adoptive and biological dad arguing who's better than the other: Instead, they both realize how fortunate all three of them are: That, thanks to Mr. Ping, Po could have a happy upbringing, bringing joy to both of them, and; and to Li.
Rare Moments in Animation
Mostly known for cheap comedy and pop-culture references, but DreamWorks has something that few companies dare touch upon Bravery to depict deep real-life situations. (Part 1)
The Prince of Egypt has an abundant of important life-lessons to fill a three-page essay, but there's one in particular that moved me. A parent should never have to bury their child, but it does happen. DW shows it in raw realism without sugar-coating.
What happens next, is a full-grown man in genuine tears.
Family members can be cruel, and victims are usually powerless to defend themselves should it happen. In Joseph: King of Dreams, Joseph's brothers grow tired of him getting all the attention and special treatment. They see the only way out, is to get rid of him by selling him into slavery. King of Dreams is aware of the gravity of such a situation and knows to show proper respect.
The awareness of animal cruelty is quite a common subject also in animation. Horses are often the target of abuse. Most animated movies show only a scratch of the amount, but DW is not afraid to take it a step further. What Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron does, is going into depth of the issue. Spirit has to endure a variety of torture, among them: Separated from his source of safety, starved and dehydrated, beaten with spurs and whips and much more.
However, there is another mature moment. Despite all the cruelty, The Colonel does have a moral compass. In most movies, the protagonists would punish him for his deeds. Here, he's given a second chance of redemption. He acknowledges the errors of his ways and lets Spirit go. In return, he too earns his freedom.
Love is probably the most common theme in animation: Usually, a boy and girl at first can't stand each other and eventually fall in love: But Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas goes a route so rare in animation. Proteus is a prince, but a noble one. He won't sit around, waiting for his true love. He serves his country with dignity and puts others first. When a love interest shows up, instead of blindly insisting on marriage, he instead asks her if that's what she truly wants. When he realizes that she's in love with someone else, instead of throwing a fit, he lets her go instead.
Marina, instead of being a commoner or a princess, is an ambassador with responsibilities of her own.
Realistic Animated Animals
DreamWorks has been accused for only featuring anthropomorphic talking animals. Disney and Pixar do so, too, but only DW has to take the blow. Here’s a list with some of their (animated) movies that don’t have talking animals.
