Keep a friend with a dog out of sight or too far away so that your dog does not shake towards another dog.
Start feeding your dog behaviors as soon as your friend and their dog are spotted.
Stop feeding your friends and their dogs as soon as they disappear from sight.
Remember that it may take a few weeks or weeks for your dog to focus on you and the behavior without shaking the other dog.
Order your dog to “calm down”
This may sound absurd but the first step in this strategy is to teach your dog command trimming. Order your dog to “talk”, shake two or three times for them and then treat in front of the nose. When they stop shaking to soften the treat, praise and give it to them. Repeat until you say "speak".
After your dog reliably shakes over the command, read the “calm” command. In a quiet environment without interruption, tell them to “talk”. When they start eating, say “calm down” and present the treat. Praise and treat them for being quiet.
