Short intro: I'm 🌟, someone in a DID system. Our main + collective blog is @parts-of-one . I prefer he/him pronouns. I'm an adult.

About me:

My main interest is political history, mainly of the US. I'm also interested in some parts of psychology and philosophy.

I'm currently in season 1 of The Boys, which I really enjoy so far. I also love the shows Pui Pui Molcar and Bluey, they're very cute and wholesome.

System info:

I'm a trauma holder. I barely remember the trauma itself (although my source memories are related in a way), but I do hold a trauma response. I'm an introject of Homelander from The Boys, but I don't know my source very well.

I often involuntarily age regress due to stress and trauma, but that doesn't mean this blog is "kid friendly". Despite the fact that I'm often regressed, I still want to be treated like my actual age (adult).

I came across this web page today. It puts into perspective how rich Elon Musk is compared to others. I knew it was gonna be alot, but I'm still surprised.

I'm slowly figuring out what my source memories represent. Apparently our real mother didn't respect our boundaries when we were younger. I don't think she had any bad intentions, but it still hurt us.

I've brought up one of the memories to our mother. I told her that she seriously crossed our boundaries once and that she made us feel uncomfortable and dissociated in that moment. She apologized and said it wasn't her intention to hurt us. The memory still hurts, but atleast she took accountability. It helps me with processing it.

What's your biggest pet peeve

People who believe in the just world fallacy and insist that we all get what we deserve in the end and that if you are struggling it must be because you're doing something wrong/aren't doing enough to improve your life. People who still think we live in a world that's fundamentally fair are among my least favorite people.

Vent (about source memories and real trauma)

Before reading this, you should know that my source memories reflect my actual trauma. My source memories also don't fully align with what canonically happened in my source.

I have alot of different source memories, most of them involve me going through various types of torture as a child. Besides the group testing my capabilities, they also sort of "conditioned" me into being extremely loyal to them.

Madelyn Stillwell was one of the people in that group. She was the only person who seemed nice to me. I even remember calling her "mom". Somewhere I knew she allowed the torture to happen, but I couldn't fully comprehend that. I dissociated alot, which was my minds way of protecting me. Anyway, she was weirdly sexual towards me. She would touch me inappropriately, but as a "reward" for good behavior. It felt confusing and strange, sometimes it hurt. I dissociated whenever that happened, so I wouldn't feel bad. Eventually I would feel bad if she didn't sexually assault me, because that meant I wasn't good enough.

I often miss Stillwell, especially when I'm regressed. I know she isn't real, but she feels real. I also know that what she did wasn't ok, but I care alot about her. I feel disgusting for feeling like this.

I'm terribly afraid of what trauma these source memories reflect. I know that we were sexually abused as a child, but I don't know who did it. I really hope that the perpetrator isn't someone who we're still in contact with. I know I shouldn't dig into my real memories, these source memories are here for a reason, but it's difficult.

We wanted to share this chart we made. It shows how "real" or "fake" things feel for us (regardless of how real they actually are). It's not a 100% accurate description, but it comes pretty close to how we actually feel.

As you can see, how "real" something feels can vary alot and alot of things overlap in "realness". This causes us confusion and stress at times, but we hope this chart will help us explain our experiences to others.

(There is no reason why some lines are blue and some are black, besides making it easier to see where the lines are going)

Vent

Oh, wow. I was very close to remembering the repressed trauma my pseudo memories are supposed to represent. I saw fragments of memories flashing through my mind. It made me go all "crazy", I thought I was losing my mind haha. Almost forgot where I was.

Honestly, it's pretty terrifying.
