Since I'm a part of the marauders fandom, I think it's essential to say that i do not support or agree with JKR in any way, honestly fuck her, she doesn't deserve any of your money or publicity because someone who just uses it to hurt people and be uninformed on an influencial platform really doesn't. please boycott and put in the effort to educate yourself (this point is mainly from the marauders and harry potter fandom but also in general. be aware where your money is going). Also since the snape discourse always comes up and I know that’s kinda like a divisive point the best I can explain my standpoint is through a series of posts: basic standpoint, snape's worst memory and sexual harrassement

my usernameeee: the history behind the username is i went down a rabbit hole like a year ago and made my own personalised website on wix.com bc i wanted a place online to yap and be creative (also made it bc substack looks sooo fucking ugly i couldnt possibly use it, im sorry substack users but i have this urge to use only pretty things) (that's a shitty apology im sorry). and then i made it fully and then forgot about it 2 weeks later. amd then i found tumblr and it's like i found another piece of my soul soooo. oh wait. username lore. yes. this is what i named that website. and it's based on this pin on pinterest thats just a series of text messages and they just go "idk how to say it lol" and then the other person goes "throw words out" "i'll put them together"? well, i saw that and i cried, and because in the thick of moments, i can rarely articulate myself properly when i speak so this blog is like an attempt to put my own words together when my head is like jumbly and stuff aren't sticking im sticking tiny pieces of meaning together <3

Like you do need to recognise sometimes that a person is not picking up your social cues and adjust your communication style accordingly. If someone isn't understanding you then you need to change up how you're communicating and not just say the same thing over & over.
i am 100% convinced that mobile phone/ social media bans for under 16s are an attempt to remove kids and teens from public life. this is not protecting kids this is locking them in houses with no escape from their abusers. the world is so hostile to teenagers rn

Regulus smirked and nodded approvingly, allowing his boyfriend to begin to reach into his wallet.
The waitress, Amy, grinned. “Where did you find him?” she asked Regulus, gesturing to James. “And have you got any more? You know how many times I have blokes come in and tell their dates to pay for themselves? Despicable.”
Regulus chuckled, his face politely blank. “We’ve been dating since school,” he offered, intentionally staying vague.
But Amy just seemed even more impressed and eager to talk. “And he still treats you? Lucky man,” she beamed, elbowing James almost flirtatiously. “Wish I could find someone like that.”
“I’m one-of-a-kind,” James joked back, preening, handing her a muggle credit card and winking at Regulus, who scoffed, deciding he needed to set Amy’s opinion right. Nobody should care this much about a customer.
“He also offered to cook a romantic dinner tonight and ended up almost burning our flat down,” he added, pursing his lips at James.
James groaned, covering his face in his hands while Amy burst out laughing. “Ah, there it is,” she said, taking the card and walking away to charge it.
“C’mon, Reg!” James whined after she walked away, frowning at him petulantly. “You can’t just let her think I’m a good boyfriend?”
But Regulus crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow. “Why? Nobody needs to think that. You’re dating me. The only one who needs an opinion on your boyfriend skills is sitting right here, Potter.”
This however, just made James grin. “You’re jealous,” he announced triumphantly.
“You’re irritating.”
“You’re perfect.”
Regulus ignored the pleased warmth that flushed through him.

i hate how many posts about trans women deserving respect always devolve into "I love girldick" or "trans rights but I don't want to date a trans person" because that's entirely unrelated to the topic at hand. you should not respond to feminism with "YESSS I loveeee you because I see you as nothing but a sex object" you people sound like other men I get stuck talking with that end up saying "free the nipple so I can see boobies in public" and thinking they're feminists. why can't we just respect women regardless of your attraction to them or not. why does it need to be brought up in every conversation regarding their rights
If you ever hear the phrase "fascism is aesthetics as politics," that's what this post is talking about.
It's not about being tough on crime, because the absolute toughest most brutal measure you could take against "crime" as a social problem is to alleviate poverty, and increase access to education, healthcare and social mobility.
It's about performing "tough on crime" as an aesthetic by enacting violence against a prop, i.e. minorities and the impoverished, who are fetishized and objectified to represent "crime." They are brutalized as punishment for crime, but never with the purpose of alleviating the problem of crime.
This is why a lot of conservatives and other right wingers can get straight up angry when you suggest things like reform or social measures to reduce crime. They don't want crime to be reduced, they want an eternal war against "crime" because it provides an arena for the righteous to demonstrate virtue by brutalizing their enemies.
