New ME Fic!

Haven't done anything in a minute and was playing some Mass Effect again.

So...Shep wakes up after the Synthesis ending. That's the plot. I am only going to continue if folks want it because I haven't exactly written anything in a minute.

I know I’m never around anymore but I had this amazing thought. Baldur’s Gate 3’s Karlach and Shadowheart, Dragon Age 2’s Isabela and Aveline, and Critical Role Campaign 2’s Jester and Yasha all somehow having one of those chicken fights in the pool. Smols on swoles’ shoulders. I can see it so vividly. Idk how they end up there since obviously Karlach could evaporate the pool but it’s a hilarious and wholesome image regardless. Whether it’s a romantic ship thing or platonic, it’s so damn amusing to me. If I find time I’ll do a fanfic for it but otherwise I throw it to the hands of others to enjoy.

Been playing baldurs gate and i want to write some fanfic but have no motivation as of yet since that means i have to stop playing long enough.

But shadowheart has my whole small heart. So expect her to appear along with the other ladies because how can you not love them?

I need to start a durge play through and romance either laezel or minthara. I have a coop playthrough where I’m romancing laezel but haven’t gotten to play it much. But i’ve done a full play romance of nb!tav and shadowheart. Im almost done with a male high elf and karlach playthrough. I played origin karlach romancing shadowheart. So i’ve only successfully recruited minthara on the karlach origin and i like her character a lot and i want to play durge with her and laezel just demolishing everything lol.

But anyway once i get those out my system maybe ill venture into ff for bg3. There’s not too much out there on ao3, at least for what i expected anyway.

but i went and submitted stuff to DA Annual anyway. lol i doubt i’ll get picked. but i sat down and wrote a dragon age inquisition prose bit for it. i don’t have a title but i’ll share it below. :3

The drifting mists of the sea’s waves splash upon my face, the crashing upon the shore drowning out the cacophony of whispers in my mind. 

“Inquisitor.” It’s a soft interruption, in that glib tone that can only belong to one Tevinter ambassador. “If you’re going to stare off into space, at least make sure you’re looking at something much more beautiful. Like me for instance!” 

“Ah, but Dorian, my friend, if I stare at your face for too long, I will hardly get anything done. And I’d rather not have Josie after me to finish my paperwork. For when Josie gives the friendly warnings, Leliana’s threats of bodily harm are not far behind.” I quip, wiping moisture from my face and hoping my mage friend hasn’t noticed the tear tracks amongst the ocean spray. 

He stares at me just a little too long, a sadness taking over his lips and brow, though he smiles anyway. His arms open in a shrug, but they stay wide and I step into them, feeling frail, strong, large, and miniscule all at once.  ____

Leatin fic prompt

So this hit me randomly but, since I’m not as familiar with The Wilds fanfic scene, I probably won’t write this myself. 

But I pictured it something like this: 

Pre-island 

Leah works in the school paper, has to communicate with Fatin for information about an interview maybe? (Idk)

Somehow they get into a pissy fit fight (”PER MY LAST EMAIL?!” This bitch) kinda vibe. 

Then obviously at some point they meet on the island and Fatin’s all “’Per My Last Email’ is YOU?!”

Idk. I hope to see something come of this because I think it’s kinda hilarious.

Cancelled Shows

Probably one of the most frustrating things for me about The Wilds being cancelled on Amazon is that it’s obvious. Looking between reviews on season one and season two, there’s a difference of three thousand plus. Even if there’s the whiny baby “woke bs” one star reviews, clearly the rest are more supportive of the show overall, as regardless of the significant difference in reviews, The Wilds maintains a four star rating on both seasons. I went and made a review on season two. I don’t believe I made one for season one. But I expressed my genuine disappointment in The Wilds fandom for being aggressively hateful to the actors involved with the show, as if it is somehow their fault the show’s cancelled or for how the show decided to write things. The actors were simply doing their jobs and being decent human beings on the outside as well, they don’t deserve the hate. I wasn’t thrilled with how the story on the boys’ side was written by any means, but I was fully aware the boys would have to be more heavily involved this season but knew that the girls’ would still be a major part, even if it didn’t seem like it. That was a major part for Gretchen’s experiment, to compare the two groups, so it made complete sense to me that we saw more of the boys for now. 

I hate that people who loved First Kill on Netflix won’t ever get a satisfying ending, unless Netflix lets the rights go to someone else. I know the issue with First Kill is Netflix being more abhorrently obvious about their hatred for POC and LGBTQIA2+ people being front and center and not about views. I had First Kill on my watch list, no I still haven’t had a chance to watch yet, but I could see every time I got on Netflix over the last month or two that FK was out, that the views on it were extremely high. I’m not positive, but I’m pretty sure the only way to review Netflix stuff is to simply thumbs up or thumbs down (and strongly thumbs up or down) a film or tv show. Wise, since they know if they had a review section too, they’d be accosted in there as well. Not that it’s not deserved, but just from their standpoint, they’re eliminating a way for people to express their anger and disappointment. 

I typically stay out of discourse on these things. I’m incredibly used to shows I love being cancelled. Not to mention shows that have wlw characters and couples being cancelled. I’ve learned to treasure what I can when I can and just try to review or express my disappoint on the cancellation to the company and leave it at that. But really it’s another surge of “bury your gays” in a different way, and that’s by cancelling the shows entirely and leaving the rights to gather dust, even when folks clamor for the show to return. I’ve signed the petition going around for The Wilds and I strongly suggest people do so if they want their voices heard, if they haven’t already. The turmoil here is beyond frustrating and heartbreaking and I just had to express it here. 

If anyone wants to talk, I’d be happy to be here. I’m also not a good enough writer to bring any fanfiction to life but I’m so enjoying the stuff I read on Ao3 for the Wilds stuff. #leatinlives

GL’s been playing ME:LE

So I have been playing too much ME:LE and I’m in love with Tali...so I’m working on a fanfic for Shepard and Tali, non-gender specific Shepard. 

I want to finish my Male Shep playthrough and do a modded Tali Fem Shep playthrough, but we’ll see if I even have the patience to figure out how mods work on PC...

Anyway, any other Tali x Shep lovers out there? Send me some inspiration :D

GL’s attempt at a PP fic

so i mentioned i was reading Pitch Perfect fanfic and i had an idea. well here it is: 

-Beca’s a cop and it’s Emily’s 25th (but it can be whatever LEGAL age) bday (Chloe and Stacie throw her a party), eventual Bemily (or Becemily?) 

-Beca responds to the noise complaint, is mistaken for a stripper

-Beca and Jesse are partners (in law enforcement), Benji’s dispatch. 

but anyway i’m new to pp fanfic stuff so if someone else wants to write it, they totally can. i’ve got my own spin to put on this, haha!

but anyway, i hope to have time for more writing here shortly, once I graduate from college (more existential screaming) in a few weeks now.

GL Update

hey folks! college semester’s almost over, since i’m going to graduate soon (AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-more existential screaming-) 

so what this means is more time to write soon, hopefully. i’ve found myself watching my comfort movie trilogy Pitch Perfect and i fell in love with hailee steinfeld. which, like, not hard because her music’s awesome and she’s very purdy and seems very nice.

anyway, started reading pp fics and found myself writing out a loose prompt. so you might see those and yester stuff from me going forward. 

anyway, don’t have exact details on when you’ll see another fic from me but i hope soon.
